GodJa420 yeah, and hid it all in a fruit tree and told Adam and Eve, who obviously, if the story had any fact to it, were as naive and gullible as children. Face it, they were living in a perfect paradise. Where would they have developed the character and maturity to know not to eat a fruit that was forbidden. So God puts all the world's maladies along with the awareness that they didn't have clothes on, in a tree (what a fairy tale) and then tells a couple who are essentially children not to eat it. If God did not want them to it from that tree, then why, out of an entire universe did he stick it under their noses in a garden he made just for them? Really, it's no deeper or more realistic than Pandora's box. But why do people believe that this MAN and WOMAN have been running around the garden buck naked, and did not notice until they ate a fruit? Seriously.

This caller is a good example of a modern American Christian: believes to the point that he'll argue his ass off about it, but hasn't cracked a Bible in his life.
Everyone should read the Book of Revelation. It's really short. It takes hardly any time at all. It's some of the trippiest writing you'll ever see. How a grown adult could read it and say, "Yeah, that seems plausible," is beyond me.
I remember when I read it I found myself thinking 'what was this guy on when he wrote this?". Magic Mushrooms? Ergotism?

The Bible did not predict end of times during 2nd World War. That was the second warning. The last warning of seven must be in the future. As God said no man knows when this will be. I repeat, just in case you do not get it -The last warning will come when no man expects it. Then u can repent or face Gods Wrath.
The God in the Bible is not a pushover - He is a God of War and u will feel His wrath. Anything u have imagined - and soo much more.There are many instances in the path of humankind that God has commanded His people to go to war.

The interesting thing is that this guy is not unusual. So many people will argue from the Bible, without ever reading it. What's really depressing is they will base their lives on shit they were told, and never question it.

In the most severe cases there is paranoid delusion, brought on by the belief in Hell and Satan. The call should have ended at the point where he stated that he hasn't read it and doesn't know what's there, but believes they are coming true when he cannot name one. He is substituting his depressed mindset and fantasies of what needs to come true for what his faith says will come true. He claims to follow a book he hasn't read, and doesn't listen to anyone else, and thinks he is a good Christian when he doesn't even know how to be.

"Where does evil come from" From people. We are the source of evil by virtue of being the only lifeforms capable of evil acts.
Additionally, common sense does not dictate a god necessarily has to exist. In fact every time we as a species have said: "Oh god does that" on things such as diseases and ailments, we found no god, instead we found germs, genetic deformities, and hereditary ailments. This applies to so many fields of study that common sense dictates that either god doesn't exist, or god doesn't want to be bothered by us.
On the day of judgement, a god will separate the sheep from the goats.
I've never seen sheep and goats together, so I guess it won't take too long.

What they meant was, when challenged to say what has not come true from revelations by the caller, there were myriad choices they had to choose from. Pretty much anything in the book. So they were basically saying, "we don't have time to deconstruct every Bible prophesy to prove you wrong - give us an example of what you think IS coming true. Don't call unless you know what you are talking about, and don't ask us to refute the entire Bible" (i.e. show you everything that isn't purple).

The guy doesn't listen to the answers once he asks the questions. He's clearly wanting to say his next statement rather than listen to the show-hosts' response.

The problem is that there is this group of people who call themselves atheist, who make fun of, and talk bad about religion, especially Christianity! You automatically put yourself against them. What do you expect? There is nothing wrong with you believing what you want, but when you go out against what others believe in and spread lies about it, not to mention wanting to spread your (unbelief) in it which makes no sense. Also you put your faith in a lot of things, even in unbelief. Peace

I honestly think that this caller is a good example of someone who's literally suffering from mental health issues. Good, evil, the government, Alex Jones, Revelations, Satan… People like this deserve pity more than anything else.

I think what he meant was "Millions of people have died since the time that Jesus was crucifed, up until the present day. They did not die for the sake of children's stories."

Nothing known to man has come from nothing. Everything on the earth came from something, earth itself came from something. The universe came from something, however we have yet to find out what it is. To skip finding out and just say "god did it" begs the question "what created god?". If the response is "god is eternal and has no beginning" why not just skip a step and say the universe is eternal and has no beginning? Don't be afraid of uncertainty
3. Why do you care how I feel? How does the way I feel directly effect your life? It doesn't, it only effects your beliefs. I'm not the one who is causing any problems with this situation. Correction: There is some evidence that shows that certain events and locations in the bible are true. The rest is just assumed correct because of the obvious truths like locations and dates.
As for the prophecy you mentioned, I'm not sure which one you are referring to. Would you care to clarify?

there are people who come into a debate with an argument, and there are people who just want to preach at people and think saying things repeatedly and loudly will be the same as a rational position, and this guy was definitely the latter.
first of all, he was barely coherent through most of it, so who knows what his mental state was to begin with. second, he kept trying to butt in every 2 seconds, that tells me he wasn't listening to what Matt had to say, he was just waiting for him to finish.
1) I can see how you think I am lying and fighting. Again, to me its more like studying human behavior. I present bible contradictions to christians and I love to watch them dance around it to make it fit reality.

Those Revelations are either taken from the situations that already happened long ago, theories guessed by the wise people, and predictions that will never happen.

It kind of annoys me when I here someone asked in a confused way what happened to make them loose their Christianity. What happened was they decided to care whether or not there their religion was true and investigated it and thought about it and found that it was neither rational nor supported by evidence and didn't want to practice a religion that didn't have any evidence for it and wasn't rational.

Part 2- Its a fact man that as long as you are watching these videos that this is how your going to feel. You become what you expose yourself too. If you read the Bible and put your heart into it you would be on the believing side of things. So know that as long as your watching these videos then this is how your going to feel. Nothing will change for you, unless you strive to make it happen. Watching these videos isn't striving for shit, just sitting back and letting yourself be deceived!
