This is one insane 850, respect! And the sound from that 5 cylinder motor is just wonderful!
The Porsche is fast on the straights, but the Volvo wagon really reels it in in the curves.

And I'm getting another one tomorrow! I own a '98 Volvo V70 2.5T and tomorrow I'm picking up a V70N with police trims. All interior from when it as a police car is gone but it's the exact same under the hood. 0-100 in just 7.5 seconds and for being only FWD, it's great.
@@tntfreddan3138 as an American, I wish it were easier to get police spec Volvos here. All we have are Ford Crown Victoria's and Dodge Chargers(all that's interesting anyway)

I just bought one. I would not sell it for $20,000. i will rebuild the engine myself when it needs one. i want to keep it for the rest of my life.
As a Volvo (V60) owner, seeing this car run down everything but the Porsche is fantastic. But seeing that Porsche pull away, at will, is almost orgasmic.

215/40-17 adds up to 860 cm of contact patch width- I brief look at the interwebs shows GT3s of that era having 245 section fronts and 305 rears for 1100 cm of contact patch width..... Yeah- The GT3 is faster, but not by much (and it was very capable driver) . For a 25th (or something like that) of the price I'd say that was a petty good showing for a well set up old lump of Swedish 5 banger!!
