This video came right on time! My husband and I are waiting for our authority to go active and next week we will be putting down a deposit for the insurance and the truck. Which also means this is the point of no return, and the closer we get to it, the more nervous we get. My husband is quiting his job and we're going all in, but we truly believe this is the right move for us. You can't fly unless you make a leap of faith!

I’m 19, I stay in HTX, pmo game. Once I save a lil more capital ima invest in one and have someone drive it. How much you think it’ll cost to buy one? Around how much would the person driving it want? And how much you think it could bring in on the first year if I have multiple good contracts? I would drive it but I have narcolepsy so I can fall asleep anytime since I’m not active, especially if I’m driving long distance where the money at.

I got off work this morning, thought about how few shifts I have left and that’s when it hit me and I said aloud “I’m scared.” I cried in my car like Red. I have been a nurse for 18 years and am ready to fall back from it. I already planned to get into trucking so once I saved $15k, I knew trucking was the best way to flip it. I have done all of the alphabet soup (LLC, EIN, DOT number, MC, BOC3, UCR and started my QDF). My authority goes active on or about 4/7. I just have to get insurance and a couple more quotes on rental trucks. I was on my way home for a sign that I’m doing the right thing, because nursing is all I know. Then this morning while doing my daily research (factoring companies, load boards, equipment to purchase, the process of what to do when you pick up a load, etc), I saw the title to this video. TALK ABOUT A SIGN!! I love your videos. You guys are always SO inspiring, positive, honest and helpful. I really needed this message more than you’ll ever know. I feel so encouraged. No, non CDL Boxtrucks are 26,000 LBS or less and CDL Boxtruck are 33,000 lbs or less

The only time your background check and credit Will affect you in this business is when you are applying for factoring companies, the factoring companies do run a credit check and a background check on the owner so depending on which factoring company you choose to go with that is the only time your background and credit will come in to play.

So I’m in the final stages of getting my authority for my business but I can’t find insurance because I want to rent a truck they after asking me for the truck vin number and things of this nature but I can’t give them specs on the truck because I’m going to be renting one any help would be appreciated
Who are you renting from? They can give you a VIN to get insurance before you pick up the truck. If you let the insurance company know you’re renting and that thebTruck you pick up may be different then the one you start insurance with they won’t have a problem. Yes. I had to step on out in faith when I started driving trucks. I actually thought about box trucks when I was OTR and were in towns that aren't really big truck friendly. I was thinking box trucks can go to places where semi's can't. That was my thought pattern.

Thanks so much . I have everything set up and looking for a truck . This to me is the hardest part. Do I go used with a warranty and pay 65,000 for a truck or buy newer with low miles because I would like to do OTR. This is my only set back in making the right decision for a truck. $luvmesumddg
I'm in the same boat. These prices are insane but, they are not going down anytime soon. I'm really considering pullin the plug on a truck that's $60,000. buying new would be great if the truck wasn't over $100,000.
