Hello SOSfix, just to let you know the oled 65b7p-u is working and looking great. I jumped the 3.5 volts to the drive circut on the power supply. I did get my 24 volts for the t-con. Then like you said it was a main board issue. Thanks Much.
It's very important to be able to repair T-con because I've seen that some T-con boards have panel calibration data loaded at the factory, and it is not easy to recover that data. This applies only to OLED. LCD should still have exchangeable T-con.
thanks for your good teaching, i have 2 question, 1)wich type of alcohol you use on boards? 2)when you find a short capasitor, how do you know the voltage and capasity of that capasitor for chang to new one?
Rubbing alcohol 99% or any 95% and more will work, for SMD cap you can look for another cap same size and color in the same line, remove it then measure the capacitance in it, usually same capacitor size have same voltage
Awesome! I just FOUND a OLED65B6P by the dumpster at a jobsite, screen is not cracked as I can see. No physical damage to the frame...can I get it to work? I will follow this thread and let you know! Did the power stay on with no display or did the power blink 3 times and go off?

Per this tutorial I bought a new t-con board and the power continued to dip after turning on. I bought a main board changed it and now the tv turns on and power stays around 50 watts but there is no picture. Only a horizontal line on the screen when it turns on for a few seconds. Hi, I have an OLED55B6V. I get a red standby light but when I turn the TV on the standby light flashes 3 times and i get no picture or sound, I don't even get a backlight. I have checked the power board and all voltages look good except the 24V to the T-CON board where I get 0. Am I right in thinking the power board needs replacing?

Hi, I am in quite the doozy and would like to get your expertise since you’ve worked with OLED. I have a XBR-77A1E with a burnt primary plug on the power supply board. What is burned is the EVDD_26V, 8 of them, and I don’t know what that means. I have gotten another board off eBay (the only board I found at all) and it came with the power relay ripped off. I want to be able to see what I can do with this TV to get it to working again, the new board doesn’t do anything and I’ve found that if I connect the cable that runs from the primary board to the DKA digital board that’s where things short and the TV doesn’t turn on. Could the cable be the issue as well? It looks totally fine, if those pins were burnt do you think that everything else is toast? The TV doesn’t turn on at all with everything plugged in so I’m assuming the panel is still fine. Thanks.
if the connector burned my not have a good connectivity, evdd-26v that is a 26volt out put plug, to the Drive, maybe something shorted in other boards causing the vdd26v to burned, you need the relay in power board to work and get a multimeter and check voltages
Hello! I saw that the back sticker stated 120V only but once you opened it the power supply said 120/220V, that means it would work fine in a 220V country too and wouldn't explode right? Thank you!
you right power supply said 220v put sticker on tv said 110v, you cant tell if the components in that power supply support 220v. to be sure look on user manual specs, if you can take tv apart disconnect everything from power board before you plug it to 220v is better

Hello, thank you for helping us to repair our TVs ! I have the same problem on LG Oled 55EG9A7V. Tries to turn on and shut down instantly. I checked the voltages and there are good. fuses are OK When I unplug the video ribbon, It seems to hold power. I swaped Tcon board with on supposedly good and no succes. So I checked the capacitors on the main board and I found something strange : Next to the video ribbon plug, there are to capacitors that seems to be shorted but after 1 ou 2 seconds the multimeter stops beeping. @@SOSfixElectronics Hello, I'm still struggling with my Oled TV. I have just reread what you said up here. I did not understood what you advised me at first. So I retried. In fact, TV doesn't hold power when I unplug the 4 ribons from Tcom to Screen. BUT, when I disconnect Tcon from motherboard It holds Power. ( Optical output shines and power led blinks 3 times and disappears ) As I said last time, I swapped tcon with same one from aliexpress. It would be very unlikely to get a Tcon with the same fault ? @@SOSfixElectronics hi and thx @SOSfix, @all for sharing. working through all these steps on my 55c7d i am not sure how to proceed. i also have an unchanged black screen after turning on the tv. the red standby led will change from steady to blinking 3 times and then the led stays off as if the tv would be on. turning off by remote or directly on the tv seems not to be working once it's switched on. compared to your case i don't need to turn the tv on over and over again. So I checked the power board voltages comfortably and they all occur to be fine. i kept following your steps on the fuses, the capacitors and coils with a similar outcome. like "formasters link above" i had no voltage on the same coil like him. the coil wich was giving you no voltage is located slightly upper left above the 5/2/3 rows of capacitors, right!? so it might not make sense to assume its the same capacitor rows like your case on the back of the board. i can't see any burns or similar. there is noise coming from the power board wich has always been there (sounds and cycles unchanged). there is little noise coming from the mainboard, probably from the main chip with the big silver cooler. took it off to be sure but can't exactly tell. i also believe i might have to face a faulty mainboard. the history of faults made me come to that conclusion. It started with a loss of the red cursor on the screen wich appeared when you we’re using the remote… it suddenly disappeared. then i recognized wlan to be switched off and not to be able to get it back on. i didn't care because i mainly use my chromecast and the game consoles. so the hdmi was all I needed. but then the tv occationally went off by it self (on 3 or 4 following days) until it stayed dark entirely. back to the lab... where would you keep looking?

Hi, I got the same TV, sometimes (especially when it's cold) the tv won't start and shows faded moving green "lines" for 3 seconds after turning the tv on and then it just goes off, the led stays red and doesn't blink. Everytime I try to start the tv the spot where the green lines appear gets bigger. However after a few tries or when it's warm, the TV turns on normal and it show's a good picture with no lines or anything. the power supply is pretty loud too, everytime i turn it on it clicks and when it goes off it clicks, sometimes it clicks again after 10 minutes when it's in standby and then the tv works great again. I think it isn't a panel fault? And I don't know if the "clicking" is normal or an Indicator that something is bad with the power supply.

Hi, i have a rare question, is possible to change a mainboard of the tv BX model with a main board of CX model, in ebay sells many boards and the internal connections are the same on the same position except for the back cover hdmi input not in same place but can be fixed with some holes

Hello,
thank you for helping us to repair our TVs ! I have the same problem on LG Oled 55EG9A7V.
Tries to turn on and shut down instantly. I checked the voltages and there are good. fuses are OK
When I unplug the video ribbon, It seems to hold power. I swaped Tcon board with on supposedly good and no succes.
So I checked the capacitors on the main board and I found something strange : Next to the video ribbon plug, there are to capacitors that seems to be shorted but after 1 ou 2 seconds the multimeter stops beeping.
How can I now the value of the caps and could it be some element next to it that makes me think it's faulty but not like any mosfet ?

@@SOSfixElectronics Hello, I'm still struggling with my Oled TV. I have just reread what you said up here. I did not understood what you advised me at first. So I retried.
In fact, TV doesn't hold power when I unplug the 4 ribons from Tcom to Screen.
BUT, when I disconnect Tcon from motherboard It holds Power. ( Optical output shines and power led blinks 3 times and disappears )
As I said last time, I swapped tcon with same one from aliexpress. It would be very unlikely to get a Tcon with the same fault ? So don't you think the motherboard should be faulty ?
Should I check the resistances on the motherboard next to the Tcon ribbon connector ?
Thank you for every advise you should provide me.

hi and thx @SOSfix, @all for sharing.
working through all these steps on my 55c7d i am not sure how to proceed.
i also have an unchanged black screen after turning on the tv. the red standby led will change from steady to blinking 3 times and then the led stays off as if the tv would be on. turning off by remote or directly on the tv seems not to be working once it's switched on.
compared to your case i don't need to turn the tv on over and over again.
I have an lg oled77cxpua that just clicks on and immediately off... I've tried replacing the tcon and main boards, but its still doin g the same thing.
