    Hello SOSfix, just to let you know the oled 65b7p-u is working and looking great. I jumped the 3.5 volts to the drive circut on the power supply. I did get my 24 volts for the t-con. Then like you said it was a main board issue. Thanks Much.

    It's very important to be able to repair T-con because I've seen that some T-con boards have panel calibration data loaded at the factory, and it is not easy to recover that data. This applies only to OLED. LCD should still have exchangeable T-con.

    thanks for your good teaching, i have 2 question, 1)wich type of alcohol you use on boards? 2)when you find a short capasitor, how do you know the voltage and capasity of that capasitor for chang to new one?

    • @SOSfixElectronics
      @SOSfixElectronics  Год назад +1

      Rubbing alcohol 99% or any 95% and more will work, for SMD cap you can look for another cap same size and color in the same line, remove it then measure the capacitance in it, usually same capacitor size have same voltage

    great video .. I took out the Tconn and tested and found a bunch of short capacitors. normally the capacitor can not be short for a functioning TV correct ? if capacitors from the tconn are shorted then this is most likely the reason why my TV keeps shutting down ? btw I checked both sides of the Tconn and on the other side just like you I found a few capacitors that are also shorted. I guess I will do your trip with the alcohol and inject some voltage to find the bad guy. btw did you replace the capacitor or left it out ?

      @@SOSfixElectronics Hello, I'm still struggling with my Oled TV. I have just reread what you said up here. I did not understood what you advised me at first. So I retried.
      In fact, TV doesn't hold power when I unplug the 4 ribons from Tcom to Screen.
      BUT, when I disconnect Tcon from motherboard It holds Power. ( Optical output shines and power led blinks 3 times and disappears )
      As I said last time, I swapped tcon with same one from aliexpress. It would be very unlikely to get a Tcon with the same fault ? So don't you think the motherboard should be faulty ?
      Should I check the resistances on the motherboard next to the Tcon ribbon connector ?

    I’ve oled55c7 the red standby is on. When i turn tv on by remote or push on tv, the red light blink 3 times then off but have black screen. And i measure all output Voltages of Psu , only 24v not present.
    I did it again after disconnecting cable Psu to T-con, the result is the same, the only 24v not there. Do you mind the Psu have problem??
    So I disconnected all cable from Psu to t-con and main board than measured voltages, i just found on pin 12v about 7.98v.
    How suppose to do to force Psu drive 24v without connecting Psu to mainboard and t-con while the Psu have only 7.98v on pin 12v?? Please advise Me. Thanks before.

    Hi, I am in quite the doozy and would like to get your expertise since you’ve worked with OLED. I have a XBR-77A1E with a burnt primary plug on the power supply board. What is burned is the EVDD_26V, 8 of them, and I don’t know what that means. I have gotten another board off eBay (the only board I found at all) and it came with the power relay ripped off. I want to be able to see what I can do with this TV to get it to working again, the new board doesn’t do anything and I’ve found that if I connect the cable that runs from the primary board to the DKA digital board that’s where things short and the TV doesn’t turn on. Could the cable be the issue as well? It looks totally fine, if those pins were burnt do you think that everything else is toast? The TV doesn’t turn on at all with everything plugged in so I’m assuming the panel is still fine. Thanks.

    • @SOSfixElectronics
      @SOSfixElectronics  2 года назад

      if the connector burned my not have a good connectivity, evdd-26v that is a 26volt out put plug, to the Drive, maybe something shorted in other boards causing the vdd26v to burned, you need the relay in power board to work and get a multimeter and check voltages

      hi and thx @SOSfix, @all for sharing.
      working through all these steps on my 55c7d i am not sure how to proceed.
      i also have an unchanged black screen after turning on the tv. the red standby led will change from steady to blinking 3 times and then the led stays off as if the tv would be on. turning off by remote or directly on the tv seems not to be working once it's switched on.
      compared to your case i don't need to turn the tv on over and over again. So I checked the power board voltages comfortably and they all occur to be fine. i kept following your steps on the fuses, the capacitors and coils with a similar outcome.
      like "formasters link above" i had no voltage on the same coil like him. the coil wich was giving you no voltage is located slightly upper left above the 5/2/3 rows of capacitors, right!? so it might not make sense to assume its the same capacitor rows like your case on the back of the board. i can't see any burns or similar. there is noise coming from the power board wich has always been there (sounds and cycles unchanged). there is little noise coming from the mainboard, probably from the main chip with the big silver cooler. took it off to be sure but can't exactly tell.
      i also believe i might have to face a faulty mainboard. the history of faults made me come to that conclusion. It started with a loss of the red cursor on the screen wich appeared when you we’re using the remote… it suddenly disappeared.
      then i recognized wlan to be switched off and not to be able to get it back on.
      i didn't care because i mainly use my chromecast and the game consoles. so the hdmi was all I needed.
      but then the tv occationally went off by it self (on 3 or 4 following days) until it stayed dark entirely.
      back to the lab... where would you keep looking?

      you can force the power board to give the drive voltage 24 by jump the 3.5v to Drv-on pin and check to see if it is stable, if yes must be the problem is the mainboard or screen

    Friend, I have issue with Sony Oled TV XR-77A80J , I will power on TV .. and TV turns on you can see the main menu for about 30-40 seconds and then it will shutdown blinking red lights 4 times. after I took unit off and started to unplug connectors and re-seating them. the TV somehow is staying on it has been over 10 mins. and I can turn TV on and off with remote no problem. so I test it by leaving TV on the main screen and I check it after 20 minutes unit shut down like power button was pressed. no blinking lights now. any idea issue ? would you by chance can point me to the correct direction to check on components ? I hope you can assist in troubleshooting.. Thank you friend.

Do is possible that main board will work without TCON board? Or Tcon Board is necessary , that main board will start? Because i have now hard time to check on what board is that fail. Hi, I got the same TV, sometimes (especially when it's cold) the tv won't start and shows faded moving green "lines" for 3 seconds after turning the tv on and then it just goes off, the led stays red and doesn't blink. Everytime I try to start the tv the spot where the green lines appear gets bigger. However after a few tries or when it's warm, the TV turns on normal and it show's a good picture with no lines or anything. the power supply is pretty loud too, everytime i turn it on it clicks and when it goes off it clicks, sometimes it clicks again after 10 minutes when it's in standby and then the tv works great again. I think it isn't a panel fault? And I don't know if the "clicking" is normal or an Indicator that something is bad with the power supply.

      update: I found the problem, it‘s the t-con board like in your video. If it‘s disconnected the tv stays on, if I just disconnect the connection from tcon to panel the tv has the same problem. even with panel disconnected. T-Con looks like it has a burnt mosfet, but I need to confirm and check with multimeter
