I think the most underrated and least talked about part of this song is how he replicates an absolutely amazing guitar solo in the original with a piano. Dude is ridiculous.

@@SlayWithBrandy little late to the party, but a fan actually composed the guitar solo into a piano composition note for note, sent it to ronnie, and then ronnie played it, loved it, and wrote the rest of the song around it!

I performed the reimagined version last night at my school music show. It was the best performance I've ever given
i swear every reaction i see the ending always is like that. woah i didnt expect that. its one of those songs that really catches most people off guard and i love that alot of people have the same reaction

My personal interpretation.. The lyric "Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now" has a different meaning in each song, which sets each version's underlying message/tone apart..
Original: Rebellious; No care about consequences; Always kept his coffin close(just in case) as he enjoyed playing chicken with death just for the thrill; The "bad boy" lusting for the "bad girl"; Enjoyment in chasing the high from the extreme ups and downs, always needing more of the "drug"..
"Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now" - almost like a snarky kid who intentionally did something bad, running away laughing hoping his feet hold up so he doesn't get caught
Reimagined: Regret; Misery; Sadness; Reflection; Haunted by his past; Acknowledging that lifestyle was toxic, that it destroyed him as a person; The mental torment and depression has possibly made him have suicidal thoughts, so he brings his coffin everywhere "just in case"..
"Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now" - Running away from that past lifestyle. He can't stop as he is afraid he may get caught in that trap again. Praying his feet hold up(metaphor for his mental strength), so he doesn't regress back into that toxic life, as he knows he might not make it out alive a second time...
I could be totally off haha but it works for me. If anyone knows of an interview or something where he laid out the actual meanings, let me know haha
I completely agree it has such different meaning between each song! I love everyones different interpretations!

The lyrics were always dark, Ronnie wrote the songs when he was in prison and the first Falling In Reverse album came out right after Ronnie got out of prison
The second video brandy WOW I've got chill's this was absolutely stunning, beautiful i loved the piano playing it went perfectly with the video this could be my favourite unbelievable 👍
Big shout out to Sean Rooney, a fan who sent in a few classical versions of some FIR songs to Ronnie. He composed, played the piano and orchestrated both this and I'm Not A Vampire Revamped and he doesn't get enough credit for his amazing work.
One of my favorite bands
As someone who's suffering for decades from (amongst other things) double depression, I can with his newer songs (especially Popular Monster / Voices in my Head) so much connect with Ronnie and the way he puts his emotions into the songs.
Myself as well. I am a disabled veteran who also suffers from a bunch of issues and Ronnie has become my go-to for music therapy.

Apparently the piano solo is the same notes on guitar as the guitar solo in the original which is cool. Also those cello players had to be taught how to look like they were playing it properly for the music video since they've never used a cello before haha
