    welcome back sister. there's nothing wrong with being a masculine woman- I feel like that is a truth that has been lost in the shuffle. Have fun with your youtube channel and do whatever you want. Don't feel like you have to stick to any one topic if you don't want. People like you for you and they'll watch you watch paint dry if that's what you're doing. You're a stunning woman and the world is truly your oyster.

    Wow J you never cease to amaze me with your growth. I’ve always looked up to you. I wanna cry tears of joy for you. You’re such a bright person you light up any room you walk in! I’m so proud of you! Now you get to see and walk the world through your true self. You’re an amazing inspiration to all and I wish you nothing but happiness moving forward. I know we’re not as close as we used to be but I’m still here. I too have some work to do on myself and have been throughout the years. Reach out anytime. Keep smiling !

    I’m a trans man and I’ve been keeping up with your channel probably since about 2015-2016. You were my first exposure to transitioning even being a possibility and throughout the years I’ve always loved your energy and your vulnerability and how you’ve been able to document your personal experiences with your identity. I relate heavily to what you spoke at towards the end of finding yourself and healing, doing things for you but still having so much work to do. I always wish nothing but the best for you Jalisa, it’s always nice seeing you upload. Your radiance is so beautiful and unique to you, screw societies boxes.

    Always nice to hear from you! Sending you strength and understanding. I'm an older Gen X lesbian and just wanted to gently remind you that "figuring it out" is a lifelong process and you don't owe anyone any explanation. The only truly important things to figure out are how to love yourself, be healthy in your body and mind, how to live a life in balance with your own unique sensitivities and needs in a way that brings you genuine happiness and satisfaction. Blessings on your path, may it be full of laughter and sweetness and regular moments of insight. 💚

    Hi, long-time follower here! I just wanted to say that I so appreciate you posting this video. I started following you pretty early on and soon after following, I started my own transition. A few years ago, I detransitioned and am currently figuring out life after top surgery and gender marker/name change. It's a difficult journey, but seeing others learning to love themselves makes it a little bit easier for me to do the same. It's also very validating. Thank you for sharing! Always supporting you, friend! :) ❤

    Yay so glad you made an update! It's wild how similar our journeys are, you were one of the first people I watched transition on yt, and then I came out soon after. I was on t for 7 years and passed as a bearded cis man, was stealth in a lot of my male-dominated jobs. Something for me also switched after a cross-country road trip at year 8 of transition, and I realized I really missed being perceived as a butch woman in lesbian spaces. I was only hit on by queer men, and sometimes bi women were interested but i could never escape the feeling of fetishization. Mainly the negative health effects of t made me re-evaluate my journey and realize I wanted to stop. It was hard at first but I'm so much happier now, just feel more aligned. I'm glad you are doing well! The journey never stops, we are always learning and growing.

    I'm glad you're seeking validation from within and getting on with doing the internal work. Validation for EVERYONE has to come from inside. So many trans people demand validation from everyone else. No one owes anyone else validation. Not me, not you, not a trans person. A person needs to stand on their own, confident in who and what they are without demanding everyone else change and bend their own ideas of who and what that person is. I wish you continued healing and peace.

    The bit around 5 minute mark where you talk about wanting to feel comfortable with yourself and not be always trying to make others comfortable, I FELT THAT WITH MY ENTIRE SOUL. And I think a lot of women feel the same way. I’m a bisexual cis female and I’ve never questioned my gender identity but I’ve always felt like something in society is very very wrong and it’s hurting everyone. I think it has to do with toxic masculinity. It hurts men and women, but a lot of men benefit from it too.

    i am an OG gender non-conforming brother. in the 1970's, we had a vibe we called, "genderfuck." we knew that we were men. we knew we women. we also knew that nobody could tell us how to look dress or act as a man and a woman. all they could say is that we need one of each for human reproduction. wealcome to PEAK TRANS. it is awesome to be sex-role nonconforming. humans don't change sex. we are not clownfish. you are awesome. you are the bomb. you don't have to change anything for anybody. you. are. good. do you. thank you for your voice.

    If I can give you any advice or suggestion (you're grown I'm not telling you what to do) is do you! Share who you are and how it goes. That is something I've learned on my journey through this plane of existence us humans refer to as life lol you never know how or when you will inspire others by sharing your truth. I'm in recovery from addiction and when I relapsed and then wanted to come back to recovery, I called a sober friend, but they didn't answer. I still got sober (272 days clean today yay!) but when I shared that tale with the person i called later on, it really impacted them. I didn't know it, but LITERALLY YEARS and a pandemic later, that person always makes an effort to answer their phone no matter what's going on or how their feeling. They want to be there for others who have gone through what they have also gone through as a person in recovery. Moral of the story is you never know how, when, where, or why, but you can touch the hearts of others for the better by just being you. Much Love & Support to you!

I was kind of wondering if you were gonna become transphobic because I remembered you coming back to twitter & you were following transphobic detrans people & you were using transphobic dogwhistles like "gender ideology". But it looks like you do in fact support trans people after all. It was really a good idea for you to leave twitter because honestly, that place is a toxic cesspool. I remembered those transphobes using a screenshot of your really raw video & then using your content to spread hate. I hated how they were doing that & "pitying" you by being backhanded with their "supportive" comments. We're all just trying to figure it all out. Anyways, I'm glad that you're still here & hope to see more stuff from you.

    so are you thinking about any other surgeries to possibly reverse some of the previous surgeries? Is that even possible? I though about transitioning for years and I am still unsure, more leaning towards not doing it, but I still have dysphoria and I am not sure how to deal with it other than at least some medical intervention. but it is so difficult to make this decision that it must mean something, so I decided to wait and stop forcing myself to make a decision. videos like yours are very valuable because it gives me information on the other side of the coin. I can't know for sure if I transition I wouldn't experience something similar to you. I am much older though almost 40, and I started exploring transition when I was close to 30, so at least I know my brain was fully developed. But I am still very unsure of the future. Anyway, thank you for sharing and being vulnerable.

    Detransition needs to be just as covered as transition and nobody should transplain away masculine women, they have existed since the dawn of time. Social media is an evil place and I had to unlearn a lot of BS fellow teenagers that I thought were older had taught me in my teens. As a trans guy I’m glad to see more content, don’t be ashamed, in 10 years there will be a detransition boom let’s be honest.

    • @gogetyourgun1490

      Exactly, there is gonna be a rise in detrans people & we gotta stop stigmatizing detransitioning. There's nothing wrong with being a detransitioner. We're not broken damaged goods with bad decision making skills, we're human beings.

    • @MaxOconnor76453
      @MaxOconnor76453 3 дня назад

      I think that rise in detransition is already starting to happen, and I bet you that in about 3 years or so (8 years since Covid lock down started) there is going to be a big wave because tons of teenagers came out as trans during quarantine when isolated. And people tend to detransition, on average, roughly 8 years into transition, give or take a few years.

    as a nonbinary person who is now toying with the idea of also being a woman, the idea that is forced on us of what gender is is so soul-crushing and one-sided. i love playing between the lines of the typical gender roles, being both masculine and feminine and everything in between. a woman does not look one way or act one way, so no matter what choices you have made in the past or how you act now, you are beautiful and right where you're meant to be :)
