- Our parents bring us into the world and bear the responsibility of nurturing us in our formative years. But of course, this is not the case with every family, and sometimes these parental figures neglect their children to an extent where the child starts holding resentment toward their parents. Such tales of absent parents are often seen in fiction, and today we will be exploring the origins of 'Blackheart'- a troubled demon who was brought into the world by the devil lord 'Mephisto' against his wishes. Blackheart did not wish to live a painful life as a demon, and he spent his life taking revenge on his father. This character was created by Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr and made his first appearance in the Daredevil comics. Blackheart's character was later incorporated in the Ghost Rider movie, where he has an exciting story arc that gives us an insight into a complicated father-son relationship. Let us explore his life story and learn more about this immortal demon!

I remember Blackheart as a kid when I first read the Punisher, Wolverine, & Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) comic book which I have to this day. Plus I enjoyed playing him in Marvel Superheroes for both PS & in the arcade
Let’s hope we get a comic accurate version in the MCU he’s way too cool not to adapt.
I like this character, the two ghost rider movies are close to my hart because they introduced me to the character and sense then I really love Ghost rider

Ever notice how black heart looks like mephisto's actual heart as depicted in one of the many black panther marvel knights comics. One of black panther's warriors even took a bite out of it, because he thought it was food. Ha, ha 🤣

The Ghost Rider movie is a Legend! Just because it had Blackheart & Mephisto in it! Blackheart was on Marvel vs Capcom. MCU should’ve been used him
I would love to see Wes Bentley return to the MCU to reprise his role as Blackheart i do love both movies of Ghost Rider.. I remember playing Blackheart in Marvel vs Capcom 2 which I sometimes first pick.
Probably he will appear in both his "aged" human form to blend in earth and his true form, demonic tall and imposing threat of Ghost Rider.

Although Wes Bentley is quite maybe old today, I would've had him as a mysterious unnamed mid-aged man with some weird "evil" tendencies, maybe build him slowly up to represent himself and the mentioning of his "father", Mephisto. I bet he'll look much horrifying in his CGI appearance of his true form.
@@pokeczarelf oh yes. Seeing him transformed into his comic look would be so awesome but also Blackheart didn't appear again in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Infinite. Which was disappointing.
@@androsthewarriorhighalpha Ikr? And honestly, if Blackheart got "defeated" by Ghost Rider in a Penance Stare in the MCU, I'd be really mad. Since Blackheart is the evil embodiment as much as his father Mephisto, there is NO WAY that the Penance Stare should not have worked against Blackheart. Honestly, if there's any option to defeat Blackheart is by I dunno, sealing him I guess, even if Blackheart dies, he will spawn back to Mephisto's Realm(honestly if that happens, hoping it will give a tease of Mephisto's appearance, in the post-credits that is.).

I liked the mephisto/blackheart/daredevil story line. The idea that an omnipotent demon enjoys messing and mingling w the common folk was well done

fun fact the scarecrow was supposed to be the villain in the first draft of the ghost rider movie but Batman begins was released 2 years before and the dc scarecrow appeared so he was swapped out for blackheart

Mephisto had many avatars and children both with mortals and other demons alike, nearly all ended up turning against him.The comic version of Speed and Wiccan were initially partial avatars of Mephisto and another villain but eventually were reborn as their own entities and became Young Avengers.

@@1993MovieMan its been forever, but im sure young avengers came out just after Decimation. Billy's theory that they are Wanda's reincarnated children has been Canon since YA#7. As far as I know nothing has been retconned about them in the comic, The MCU is its own thing and has nothing to do with my question. How do you pull retcon? Tommy lives with Master Pandamonium.
