For those who might be wondering what those symbols (the one with pixels and padlock) on the right side of each of the layers are, that's the 'Lock Transparent Pixels' or 'Alpha Lock' tool. It's very useful if you want to contain your painting within a certain boundary. Krita has a similar tool that can be found on the main toolbar, it's called 'Preserve Alpha'. You can look it up if you want know more about this tool, I find it very useful.

thank you for sharing your process. I always enjoy your paintings. It seems that you have found a new love in CSP. Just curious if you could share what advantages you found that led you to switch (for now as least) away from Krita. Thanks

Thank you! I still use Krita, it's still one of the best digital painting software that I know! I don't see any advantage CSP has over Krita, when it comes to digital painting - they're both equal in my opinion. 😄

    amazing as always 😉
what's the different between lock transparent pixel and clip to layer below? i think they have same function to create boundaries

Thank you! Yeah, they have the same function. The only difference is with 'Lock Transparent Pixel' you're painting on the same layer whereby with 'Clip to Layer Below', you're painting on a separate layer. It's useful if you don't want to mess up a particular layer. Up to you to choose which one you prefer.

@@user-fz2oc4xh3c yeah, just use whichever tool you're comfortable with, there's no right or wrong answer to this. 😃
