It WAS a perfect onside kick by that kicker wow! The velocity and rotation of the first skip no one coming foward out there was catching that.causing the second bounce to be so powerful and high just like you want it.
In what has been an underwhelming season thus far for UH football, this is for sure a much needed win for a team that has been terribly coached on both sides of the ball no thanks to Doug Belk and Dana Holgorsen.
I wouldn't say underwhelming. You just haven't been on the right side of some of the wildest football games. Literally 3 OTs and now this! Y'all bring the fun from an outside perspective!

memphis' special teams coach needs to be fired. all his dudes just gawked at the ball instead of attacking it and winning. ideally you want the whole line to ignore the ball and block as many houston players as possible, and let one or two hands guys stay back and catch the ball once all the houston guys are taken out.
I never saw an onside kick as easy as that one. Three guys on that side and right before the kick , one guy runs twenty yards backwards . Leaving 2 against 4 to get the ball. They never had a chance
@@RealmofFreakdom oh yeah thats the game I meant the one where they scored like 25 points in 11 Minutes I just couldn’t remember the team Houston played during that comeback

Of all the “it’s over” moments, I think the slow windup on the 4th&11 QB scramble was it for me. I couldn’t believe he got that. Then again, after the shanked FG and poor onside kick try earlier, I wouldn’t have thought the Houston kicker had a perfect one still in his back pocket.
Not a fan of either team but what a comeback for Houston!! They never gave up. I didn't know the final score and after Houston's last score then I'm thinking Memphis kicks a field goal to win it at the end but no.
As a Houston fan this was amazing to watch. It was the first time this season I’ve seen Houston move with haste. Tune stopped waiting so long and released, defense stacked up and worked together. Best UH game so far
That was incredible. So many things had to go absolutely perfect. Multiple 4th downs converted, nearly got intercepted, had to get defensive stops, getting in the endzone, recovering an onside kick and getting back in the endzone, etc.. my God how does that happen? The Memphis players had to be gutted. UH must've made one helluva offering to the football Gods lmao

But hey it's college football. 4th and 11 and the QB ducked a sack, and juked 3 guys to run for a first down. Unreal.
Missed an offensive PI on the game winning TD. You have to at least make it look like you're running a route, that WR was blocking from the get go. If I were a Memphis fan I would be infuriated with that no call.
If you really zoom in and replay, I can guarantee you’ll find a panelty on nearly every single play. It’s part of the game, that we as humans are playing in real time. It all evens out in the end. There were a lot of errors that Miami made leading up to that play that fans could be infuriated with. Blaming it on the refs isn’t it.
That’s a pick play on Houston’s GW TD. ND and Clemson ran same play; Clemson beats ALA for Natty & ND called for PI Vs. FSU in loss. Refs pick & choose whenever they call this penalty. Give Houston credit, never gave up.
After this season you will definitely have to add this one and others to part 4 of craziest college football comebacks. If you make another video in this series.

UH has blown two games this season in closing moments. Good to see them win one that way. Other than the Kansas game they have all been down to OT and last few seconds.
I've been a longtime Memphis college athletic fan, I live pretty close to the area. I hear Memphis fans say all the time how we don't get any respect or recognition, no other conference will take us, etc etc. This is partly why. Games like this. Our fan base is horrible because fans stop paying attention due to games like this. Our home opener this year, the attendance was equal to that of a mid level team at the mid way point of the year. And since then attendance has gone down, down, down. Look at longer highlight videos of this game for example. We went into this game 4-1 and you look at the crowd and you'd think we were 1-4. Now after this debacle, the next home game will be even fewer. If we can't even get people who live 10 mins away to come to a game, how can we ever expect to get a higher conference to give us a shot?

Still not as bad as the Falcons edition of it 😂
