Very true but the prices of the escort have stayed the same over the last few yrs but the fiesta is going up and up for example in 2019 a nice one went for £8200 a yr later u can’t get em for less than £15k

Both are great, I have a fiesta rs turbo atm and had a series 1 before, I would have the escort back if I had the choice though. Ambers look way better I agree. I replaced from clear on my series 1.
I had a sick white Rs turbo fiesta with the Clifford remote engine start in 2001.Yes remote engine start by the key thob on a Clifford remote!!!! something out of James bond!!
I really do feel the series 1 was a good buy for you. The fiesta can get a little cramped inside and you are a big lad.
The series 1 also has a tiny little bit of extra sexyness to it. Series 1 and fiesta both definitely have the X Factor and Simon cowel would crap himself if he was inside one 😂😂😂😂

My 1st car at 19 was a fiesta xr2 on a e plate .payed £1800 for it in 91 drove it home 🏠 then got insurance quotes for it £2000 to insure for year 3rd party only . Done alterations to engine and bodywork 3spoke alloys . Janspeed exhaust . Jamex suspension . K&n air filter . Cossie whale tail spoiler . Loved going to Southend cruise . So easy to pull back then lol 😂
Jamie, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PUT THE STANDARD RIMS BACK ON THE S1. In my opinion they were made to perfection in looks apart from ride height (engineering wise maybe a 1.8 block for a bit more power on standard boost, but it was early 80s). Its your car bro and ofc its totally up to you, but please really think about it.

You definitely bought the right car. The S1 is a lot of Ford fans favourite after a Cosworth. My RST Fiesta was super clean and it just went in all the usual places until the filler cap fell right through while refuelling. Still have another though 🤪

If I were you I’d buy a mint mk1 golf and stick a mk4 1.8t agu engine in her or the 2.0ltr turbo from the mk5 golf. 197hp standard and most of 260hp or greater! Make a true sleeper as in a 1.1c golf mk1 with either engine in!! I think the fiesta rsvturbo is a very nice, quick car on boost but the series one escort is a tad more desirable.
Had 2 fiesta rs turbos. Would usually say the fiesta turbo over an escort turbo, but definitely not if we are talking a series 1 escort turbo.

Escort out shines the fiesta by miles, Escort in same league as Sierra rs cos.
I had both the fiesta was more reliable once mapped never missed a beat, the escort had the 8o's feel got miles more attention better looking with the motorsport pedigree. But man the escort was unreliable bonnet up every other day.
