This intro seems to have a FEELING of greater emphasis on the passion of cars/driving with the Ayrton Senna bits, and Goodwood Festival parts as well. Feels like their aim is more towards the emotional attachment towards racing for GT6, while still making an updated feel to the game.
They began to focus a tad TOO much on the science put into a single vehicle and made it too long now, which is why, in my opinion, GT4 had the BEST intro....
Senna Was Amazing! These days i Will Go Interlagos again! What a Feeling, the Energy that this Track Just have, close your eyes and feel all the Senna Tragetory and emotion! Senna Forever!
18th Variation on a theme of Paganini to the All my Life theme song. This is the best Gran Turismo intro and I have played and own every Gran Turismo game to date.
I'm a fan of Gran Turismo since the 3rd game was shown to me by a friend. When I heard this song into, I cried *so* hard.🎶🎵 Being it was in the movie "Somewhere in Time" (with the now sadly belated Christopher Reeve and, respectfully Jane Seymour). 🎬🎥 That movie was taken place in my home state of Michigan USA. I was like OMG! They used the song from that movie! I was *so* excited.😊 These games visually are just beyond beautiful.🌈⛅ Endless hours of photos and precise drawings of the cities, 🎨 I have to admit, these games are better than the Auto Show itself.🎮 Thank you *so* much for posting this. Incredibly breathtaking! Peace. ✌
As i watched every intro again, this is my opinion so far: GT1: This intro is by far the intro that gives me chills till this day. The music is perfect, the showdown of the cars on the tracks and the preparing for a race at the start of the intro, it's just so great. GT2: I liked the intro, really, the rendering, the old footages of races, but it does not quite talk to me. Maybe it's because me and my brother in the old days didn't had GT2 really. GT3: Also a pretty amazing intro, it doesn't give me chills but it gives me some good memories since i played it after my second hand PS2 couldn't play GT4 for a reason. The showdown and the intro with the engine of the Supra. I loved it and it was, since it war A Spec only, more entertaining than let's say GT4 with B Spec, but... GT4: This is still my favourite game by this day. I really grew up with it and the intro is simply amazing with the chorus. I love the japanese version the most since Moon Over The Castle fits more to the Chorus than rock music, but still it was amazing and gives me chills for the full chorus. GT5: The long intros began here and it was not pretty bad to watch it a couple of times, the building process at the start and then the showdown, but after you watched it maybe a couple of times, you will skip it since it's pretty darn long. GT6: Same case here but i like it a bit more than on GT5, also i think it was a bit shorter? So respect on that GT Sport: This is the intro i love the most from the 3 newer games. It shows racing historic with a dramatical orchestra and after that you'll see ingame animations of race preparing and meetups. It reminded me of GT1 and GT2 combined in a way. I hope GT will still keep up with some great intros and gamss in the future!
Please, can someone tell me the name of this song? It's something along the lines of "a place in time" or "somewhere in time" but I can't remember. My grandma passed as I was going into my freshman year of highschool. My grandparents practically raised me. When I got this game for the first time, I was playing on the downstairs T.V. and the updates just installed and this first song came on. My grandpa, who was bed ridden, stood up and walked from his bedroom into the living room with tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong. He told me "Son, this song was from your grandma's favorite movie." Him and I sat in the living room until the song played out, both with tears in our eyes. A few years after, my grandpa passed away and then the servers for Gran Turismo 6 shut down the very next day. I feel like a big part of me is missing... 😖
It's called Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini. It's my favorite music piece of all time. It's on my all time favorite movie, Somewhere in Time. (Also, I wish more people my age would listen or watch those types of films/music as I'm 15 years old)
I Started playing GT6 again, and this cutscene didn't show up. First I thought I scaped it accidentally, but the next time I Play the game, the same. What happended?
@Lazynberg I have the Senna version. When I bought the game, it has it; and every time I ran the game, it showed up. Then I bought the PS4 and stoped playing it. And one day I decided to play it again, and could never watch it again.
MegaHappyBiscuit I recall reading somewhere that GT2's intro was rendered on what would ultimately become the engine for the Playstation 2...never was able to confirm it...any help? :)
CapeMike As far as it being Gran Turismo 2 nope it's not. However where you got your info from is half right. There was an in between game/demo called Gran Turismo 2000 it had elements of both GT 2 and GT3 in it. The game was rendered on the PS2 (PS2's engine is Emotion Engine) and was like an upgraded GT2 for PS2 GT2000 was/renamed to GT3 and obviously upgraded as well. It was going to be called 2000 to reboot the game but they figured naming it 3 would be a better idea. This is also not the first time they've done this. There are many Demo's/special versions of there gt games like Gran Turismo 3 A Spec Gran Turismo Concept Tokyo 2001 Gran Turismo 4 Prologue Gran Turismo 4 BMW Virtual Drive Gran Turismo 4 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue etc etc Hope this helps answer your question
I still have a copy of the GT4 Prologue Prius edition...in fact, it may've been partially my fault it went out of print so quickly...I got one early, and informed all my GT friends...the Prius site you could get it from got HAMMERED with orders barely 2 days later, heh.... :D
...now what I'd like to know is, why haven't a significant number of tracks/vehicles from GT2 made a return for 6, such as Red Ring Valley, Grindelwald, the Dodge Stratus ES, and Weigart Vector V8 TwinTurbo?
What happened to GT games having good music? GT2 ~ The Cardigans, Rob Zombie, Garbage GT3 ~ Lenny Kravitz, Judas Priest, Motley Crue GT4 ~ Van Halen, Papa Roach
Rednax_99 Not really lol I mean nothing is as memorable IMO as My Favorite Game from GT 2 that intro music was really great for it. Hell it's a great fit for lots of racing videos really. The upbeat tempo of it really fits well with fast moving action
thats what i was saying... GT5 and GT6 have no memorable music, where as GT2 3 and 4 do have good ones. and i know right? My Favourite Game is my favourite song ever so its very memorable to me too

5 is still good
I don't know if this is the greatest game of GT saga, but I think that this intro is.... fantastic.

The nostalgia from this song honestly makes me feel uncomfortable. Miss the servers!
Oh god,I miss them so much
I've been playing a lot of Destiny since they shut down the servers but I miss this game immensely ;( it kind of was my childhood
Hell my first GT was the 5th and I didn’t get to use online

GT2 Has great music... I also like the Moon Over Castle from GT5Prologue.
Wish I played this game, seeing all the walk through makes me want to do this.
This is why I got GT6 instead of GT5 because this intro was better than GT5 love the song too
still, 5 has overall better atmosphere
Such a great memories when i was in secondary school 😢😢😢
I just cried with this, haven't played since my ps3 died like 3 years ago 😢
Feels like yesterday😢

Hello, the name of the song is Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43 by Sergei Rachmaninoff 😊❤️
It's called Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini. It's my favorite music piece of all time. It's on my all time favorite movie, Somewhere in Time. (Also, I wish more people my age would listen or watch those types of films/music as I'm 15 years old)
That’s sad, losing your loved ones and having your most favourite game shut down
Everyone said Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini, the 18th variation is the one you are listening to.
Gran Turismo was missing a bit of pontiacs. Thank you polyphony.
This game made me happy because i play this all day and i enjoy it. I gotta say that Gran Turismo 6 is a better game than 5 for me. (My opinion)
Que nostalgia😢😢
Fala nn pqp
I remember screaming when I saw Senna at the end can’t to play 7 today
coolest game ever! :D
Also heard it in Gran Turismo 7 opening movie.
Oh Polyphony gifted you 1,000,000 credits now lets wait until they do the same with GT Sport
this the best into that grand trsmo as have had
3:34 now here comes the best
15 unlikes from Alain Prost fans. Can’t figure out how come ppl hit unlike a video like this
I don't even know how people keep finding this video, let alone disliking it :D
HOLYY FUCKK!!!!
PONTIAC TRANS AM!
I wished they had the 02 WS6 instead, but this is fucking awesome!
I don't know why there's a credits scene before the intro?
❤️🎶
at 2:45 he looks like eugene from buzzfeed
3:28 looks like it is from the GM Technical Center...
I Started playing GT6 again, and this cutscene didn't show up. First I thought I scaped it accidentally, but the next time I Play the game, the same. What happended?
Idk if you turned off opening movie
@Lazynberg I have the Senna version. When I bought the game, it has it; and every time I ran the game, it showed up. Then I bought the PS4 and stoped playing it. And one day I decided to play it again, and could never watch it again.
@@bmontilorusso check your options and look if opening movie is on
Amazing
No GT intro (and i may dare to say no game intro) is comparable to GT2's
Nothing could compare to that. The Cardigans are an amazing group and My Favorite game is the perfect song for that intro!
MegaHappyBiscuit

true. but gt5 and 6 had no memorable music.

Rednax_99 Well I personally think that All My Life and Soul On Display are pretty good.
Nobody notices Rachmaninoff masterpiece at the beginning, Go and play Forza.
GT5 was better...
Madmike-16 the only good thing about 6 intro is the piano part
