- The Finlandia hymn, "Be Still, My Soul" refers to a serene hymn-like section of the patriotic symphonic poem Finlandia, written by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It was later re-worked by the composer into a stand-alone piece.

I had never heard of this song until last week. In the year 2021, while my grandmother was praying for me said she got a song for me. I noted the hymn no. and forgot about it. And just last week, I decided to search for it here on YT and wow, I love this so much now. God’s love is so pure.

This beautiful piece brought years to my eyes. It reminded me of two beautiful songs. Be Still and know that I am God and It Is Well With My Soul. Written by a man who was going on a ship with his wife and two daughters, but he was not able to go, so they continued on this ship. Not long after, this ship was in a storm and sank. He lost his wife and 2 daughters. After this he wrote It Is Well With My Soul.

Wow! Beautifully done. The Lord is using this song to get my attention as I'm facing a difficult situation; it remains my favorite hymn. Three days in a row: In the film Princess Cut 2, the grandmother sings this while facing a tragedy; the next day I prepare my will with this song for the service; today, the pianist plays this song and I have the hymnal open to it blessed by the words.
