This hymn became so meaningful to me on November 13, 1993. God gave me a precious moment in time to sing Be Still My Soul, to my dying mother. She was only 73. This was so unexpected. But, it was God's perfect plan for her life. And, what a gift from God she was! Thank you for playing this hymn so beautifully...
My goodness talk about reach your soul. I could definitely sense the Holy Spirit the thing that got me was reading the comments of so many of y’all that are going through so much loss in grief and pain. It literally made me cry. There’s so many hurting people just when you think you’re going through something all you gotta do is read these commentsand I pray that God gives you so much grace and strength and peace and joy in those seasons, and yes, our promise is we’ll see our loved ones again, but that doesn’t diminish what we have to go through on earth. I’m thankful for music like this that brings healing and hope.
I pray we all mend our broken hearts and show kindness and loving compassion towards ourselves and others in these times and always. The world absolutely needs more love, heartfelt connection and true authenticity. Amen 🙏

And yet God promises in Romans 8:28 that He causes all things to work TOGETHER for good, to them who love God. Through your suffering and through your tears, praise God anyway. Our God inhabits our praise. allow Him to heal you from the inside out. Nothing else in this world will come close to closing that incredible devastating wound. I am praying for you now.

I just love this piece it is one of my very favourites. I have put in a request for this to be played at my funeral with the verses up on the screen so people can take it all in and appreciate it. I discovered this song when I was going through a rather sad and dark time in my life and found myself listening to sacred music all day, every day, for several years, even though I’m not what you’d call a particularly religious person. This song plus others like it brought me a lot of peace. To this day, this song is one of my favs. This is a particularly beautiful rendition which will going in my save list.

This beautiful rendition of this favourite hymn is sublime, very skilled musicians adding their own interpretation, praise God for these amazing talents - thank you, William & Zack! 🙏👏 My husband & I loved classical music, in fact we first got together at an open-air concert in London. Sibelius was one of our favourite composers & this piece, taken from 'Finlandia', was used in our wedding service. We did a season at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in the first year of our marriage, while we both worked in London - the spectacle & drama of being down in the 'Prom' at the 'Last Night of the Proms' in 1981! Now I find much comfort hrough the lyrics of the hymn as I learn to trust more in Him through this time of mourning & loss until we meet again. My husband's not 'gone' - he's just 'gone on ahead'. So, in the words of the hymn: "Be still my soul the Lord is on thy side, Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain, Leave to thy God to order and provide, In every change He faithful will remain."
I’m not sure if everyone else is hearing a different song but this song is called “I then Shall Live” performed originally by The Gaither Vocal Band and (from my understanding) written by David Phelps and Gloria Gaither. Be still my soul was a song originally performed by the Imperials and written by Russ Taff. I know both of these songs well and this one seems mislabeled. This is still (and I apologize for all the above mentioned concerns) a very well done piece and beautifully performed. Well done good and faithful servants. ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous! I discovered this song when I was going through a rather sad and dark time in my life and found myself listening to sacred music all day, every day, for several years, even though I’m not what you’d call a particularly religious person. This song plus others like it brought me a lot of peace. To this day, this song is one of my favs. This is a particularly beautiful rendition which will going in my save list.

My husband & I loved classical music, in fact we first got together at an open-air concert in London. Sibelius was one of our favourite composers & this piece, taken from 'Finlandia', was used in our wedding service. We did a season at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in the first year of our marriage, while we both worked in London - the spectacle & drama of being down in the 'Prom' at the 'Last Night of the Proms' in 1981!
Now I find much comfort hrough the lyrics of the hymn as I learn to trust more in Him through this time of mourning & loss until we meet again. My husband's not 'gone' - he's just 'gone on ahead'.
So, in the words of the hymn:
"Be still my soul the Lord is on thy side,
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain,
Leave to thy God to order and provide,
In every change He faithful will remain."

I’m not sure if everyone else is hearing a different song but this song is called “I then Shall Live” performed originally by The Gaither Vocal Band and (from my understanding) written by David Phelps and Gloria Gaither.
Be still my soul was a song originally performed by the Imperials and written by Russ Taff. I know both of these songs well and this one seems mislabeled. This is still (and I apologize for all the above mentioned concerns) a very well done piece and beautifully performed. Well done good and faithful servants. ❤️
