~Sew Happy to be back~Last year I treated myself to The Shop Company's 3/4 body dress form. I had a Dritz dress form for over 10 years, and loved it but wanted the ability to try to drape and design pants, swimsuits, jumpsuits and more. After one year would I still recommend it? Watch and find out more!! #dressform #sewingessentials

    ~TL/DR~
After one year I would still highly recommend The Shop Company's dress form! I have loved using it over the year and have got to try out so many new designs that I never would have other wise.
Quality: Still holding up great, only snags are on the Fabulous Fit over covering
Weight/Substance: It's heavy which works well for higher weight materials but could be a challenge if you are moving this from multiple spots. I moved with the dress form this year and had no issues even with the weight but those with back issues may want to take that into consideration
Cost: I find the $350 or so it cost to be worth it. I will be getting my money's out of the price

The Dritz dress form is a great beginner option that is pinnable and adjustable. Drawbacks are that it can be hard to use the adjustable features and with some elements just being stickers they can wear off over time. Low cost compared to other dress forms on the market
The Shop Company dress form is great for beginners and experienced sewists a like. It is not adjustable, so you would need to select the correct size through their site but you can buy a padding kit to help with customizations. It is pinnable, and the 3/4 version allows you to make pants. It has a stronger feel compared to the Dritz, and I suspect it will hold up better over time. Cost is around $350 compared to the $150 of the Dritz

Can you explain/show how to put/make pants on her with a pole in one leg? Thank you

Definitely! I made a short to hopefully answer your question as well, but basically I take the entire thing out of the base (including the pole), put clothes on her, then put her back onto the base. I have to dress her around the pole. It’s a little bit of a process, and I can see why having a dress form where it is secured hanging instead of how this one is on the pole would be easier for changing. Let me know if this helps! ruclips.net/user/shortsMfGovsSofAg?si=KOrO_6X7AazF76F_
