In this series, I'm diving into species counterpoint, exploring the exercises and techniques to improve my improvisation on the guitar. This isn't a formal course, but more of a learning journey where I'm taking you along as I practice and experiment with counterpoint melodies. I'm following the Open Introduction to Species Counterpoint from Open Music Theory by Kris Shaffer and Mark Gotham, and I'll be combining learning with live improvisation on the guitar.
