Welcome to my woodworking channel. I am passionate about taking the most wonderful woods mother nature created and turning them into beautiful objects of day to day use. This is not a DIY channel about teaching the woodworking craft, showing you new and nifty techniques about how to build wooden objects or anything alike. It’s about celebrating nature’s beauty and providing inspiration for projects of your own.
Thanks for your support!
Small note, I am female. It’s all good. Love your channel. So, what’s your favorite wine? I presume you know your wines by the wall of good stuff behind you in your videos.
I am sorry for misgendering you; I had no clue that Devin is also used for females. Thanks for letting me know. And happy you like my channel. The wines? Yeah, I am into wines indeed. Nothing beats the taste of red meat and red wine 😆 Mz favorite it the wine „Diciotto“ from „Scuola Sarmenti“, it’s wonderful ♥️♥️
@@Woodensoul App good 😊 I have never had a Diciotto before, will have to check my local merchant!
Oh then you should definitively try it out. It's this one: www.scholasarmenti.it/en/the-wines/diciotto/ - where are you from?
Great tip. Thanks for sharing with everyone.
Most welcome :D
Great tip. Sanding pockets and inside curves is really a pain, so this tip can save a lot of time. Thanks for sharing it!
Right?!? Fiddly as hell! Glad this is helpful 👊🏼
You have once again provided Information that makes a great tool even better! Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words - happy to help
Love the tips, having to sand pocket cuts has been a frustration for me.
Glad this is helpful, Charles, and agree: Fiddly as hell!
Wow! Great tip! I’ll definitely use this, especially doing salt pots. Remember the discussion we had about sanding the bottom of the pots. You mentioned using the wand sander. I hated it, we’ll problem solved. Lol. Thanks for sharing my friend.
I remember I made you buy the sander you hated 🤷🏻♂️ Sorry about that,😆 Glad this trick can help to overcome that. Happy golfing my friend 🤘🏼
@@Woodensoul lol my friend, you didn’t make me do anything. I still use it. All tools come in handy at different times. 😁
ah… glad to hear 👊🏼
I forgot to mention … no need to raise the bit. Clockwise and counterclockwise in the same plunge. At the end of the clockwise run, pass directly through the center of the pocket to the opposite side, then work counterclockwise from the outside to the inside. It helps to have an O-Light mounted on the Origin as I do to allow me to see the cut off-screen without elevating the bit.
Thanks Devin. I raise the bit so I can better trace what areas I already „cleansed“…
@@Woodensoul ah, I see (pun intended). That little O-Light mounted on the base of my Origin fills that gap for me, as it allows me to peer down into the pocket while moving about (surgically targeting any fuzz or lines left). It feels strange to not be looking at the screen, but with practice it becomes second nature. I guess another advantage of raising the bit is a chance to erase the cuts (wonder if that can be done mid-cut without raising, hmmm, never tried).
Afaik you can't delete while you are cutting, the rubber to delete isn't even showing up on the screen while the router is plunged. Also some of my pocket cuts are rather deep, so peeking into the hole through the spinning router bit doesn't sound sexy to me :D
Super tip, will try it out 👌
Awesome 👊🏼
Thank You and Devin!!!!!
Most welcome 🤩
