This was a super informative video! I was able to replace my blade on my table saw with no problems at all! It was much easier for me though to turn my phone around so that you were facing the same direction as I was. I am a widow of almost 2 years and I have learned so much about woodworking on RUclips and I appreciate it very much! Thank you for making this video! 😃👍
God bless you! I find inspiration in your ability to continue learning and growing from such a chapter change. Woodworking helps me stay grounded and my mind young.
Beautiful! Thanks!! I just went to Home Depot to buy new wrenches which of course they didn’t have. Just rewatched the video…yes the wrenches are attached to the machine. Whoohoo!
This helped a lot. One warning: at 7:06 you say to put the blade face against the motor and you show the side with the name. This is not always true, and I ended up putting mine on backwards the first time. Just stick to saying the teeth point toward the front.
@@AroundTheHome1 Yep, the 8 1/4" blade mode,l and I was putting on a new DeWalt blade. Other than that one misunderstanding your video made it a breeze and was actually faster than reading the manual.
I have looked up 4 different videos on changing these blades now, and every single one of the videos they pull out flat wrenches from a magical dimension. Where did the wrenches come from? If they were supposed to be packaged with the saw they weren't. If they are attached to the saw somewhere, it would have been awesome had you shown us.
The wrenches came with the saw. I can't remember if they were just packeged on the side or if they were already on the wrench mount. No magical dimension, or was there?!?!?
@@AroundTheHome1 You have no idea how much this saw was pissing me off. Jist trying to replace a blade, not launch a Tesla to mars. I finally found it though, bolted yo part of the frame underneath
You do need the washer, but you can replace it with a matching fender washer at a standard hardware store. So glad to help! Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
Thanks for the video. I just unboxed mine yesterday, and wanted to see how it was done. I didn't want to install the plastic guard, because I think it just gets in the way.
Thank you for this, I have had my dewalt for years and haven't changed the blade since I bought it. I really need this video. Unfortunately my open ended wrench is missing from various moves but being a blacksmith I will improvise a wrench.(I literally facepalmed my self when you said don't lose these)
Really enjoyed this video. Are you able to use stacked dado blades on this exact saw? Or is there something special you have top do to it? Thanks in advance.
You know, I have not tried a dado on this saw so I don't know. Wish I could have helped more with that question. Thanks for watching and don't forget to stop by our website for many more helpful videos. www.greatwhiteninja.com
Well depending on your table saw model, but this is probably it if yours is like the one in the video. www.amazon.com/DEWALT-N436199-Replacement-Wrench-DCS7485/dp/B07KNM69SR?crid=18AGFHZ20S0TQ&dchild=1&keywords=dewalt+table+saw+replacement+wrench&qid=1618958774&sprefix=replacement+table+saw+wr%2Caps%2C192&sr=8-2&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=e07c4a3eb7f21aa0e20e2c656410accb&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
I just purchased the DeWALT 7480 and I don't understand when to use the riving knife in the upper and lower position, and when I tried to put the blade guard on in the upper position it doesn't seem to work with the blade guard. Can you please do a video explaining the reason for the two positions, and how to use the blade guard when the riving knife is in the upper position. I can't find any videos the give a good explanation on the use of it on the DeWALT 7480.
You explain things very well. Thank you! One suggestion: Angle the camera so the viewer is seeing exactly as you are seeing. For those of us with spatial relationship issues, it’s a tad difficult to translate visual opposites!! I actually turned my phone upside down to watch, but you can’t easily do that if you are watching on a computer!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
I see what you are saying. For the most part that is hard to do unless I am wearing my GoPro on my head, but then the video is shaky. I will see what I can do about that. Thanks for watching, and I am glad to help. Don't forget to stop by our website www.greatwhiteninja.com
Glad to have come across this video. Ive had this table saw for about a year now and recently I bought a dado blade but I couldn't figure out how to install it with this site pro feature. Thanks m8 didnt know what to do, it was not getting loose. my nut was so tight, i had to use a hammer. Thanks to your video, i hammered it the right way and left the nut slightly loose. Only put a little pressure on it.
