- In this video, inspired by a subscriber, I will show the route from the center of PDC (ferry terminal) to Playacar! We do the journey during LOW TIDE so you can see what to expect as far as how wet you will get. I am filming in real time, without shortening or editing the video, so you can see exactly how long the journey takes and the various landmarks along the way.

I have been an avid sub of theirs since the pandemic when they were stranded in the Philippines and have been watching every single video of theirs since! What a small world!!! 😂

Also…You’ll be happy to know, the beaches near where you’re staying (I believe you mentioned Reef 28?) are looking really nice. I spent the day at Playa 38 and Mamitas yesterday and it was beautiful.
@theropemonster Such a relief thank you! Yes we just arrived at the Reef 28 and my sister surprised me! We're up on the roof top and the beach looks amazing from here!

I really appreciate your effort. I'll be in PDC end of August thru November, as a solo female traveler. I am curious, when you go solo swimming, what is the best thing to do with your valuables? I'm between carrying a lockable mini yeti cooler and a cross body waterproof bag for phone and valuables that I just wear in the water. I swim ALOT.
Thanks for the feedback Patricia I’m really glad you liked it! I either hang my stuff on a branch as hidden as possible and/or go the waterproof bag route. I usually carry 2-3 different waterproof bags on these walks: a 20L dry bag for tripods, gimbal etc, a small waterproof fanny pack, and a dry bag just for the phone… hope that helps! Try to find a friend or group to go with on that hike if you go all the way to the end to be extra safe. Thanks for watching and happy travels to you! 😎🏝️☀️🇲🇽❤️

How difficult to walk with children over those rocks to get to the gem of a private beach like lagoon. Thank you for go all the way there!
It’s most definitely doable as I’ve seen families there and there’s also an alternative route to bypass the rocks if you stay on the trail to the right! Footwear is key though… make sure the kiddos have some nice water shoes or close toed sandals if possible! Thanks for the great question and for watching ❤️🇲🇽🏝️☀️😎
Good to see Playa car ,walked that beach many moons ago ,lot quieter in those days. A Cuban once told me Cubans are born with their hips moving and he was the same way, amazing to watch dance

They have done an exceptional job of cleaning up and repairing the minor damage to windows etc! Looks almost completely normal, just tape in some windows still and superficial damage to a few buildings on 5th. Have a great trip and thanks for watching! 🇲🇽❤️😎🏝️

Can you step on a sea urchin with water shoes ? Or will it poke through?
Great question! I think a good pair of water shoes would break off the barbs/stinger and protect your feet just fine.

NO!! This was filmed 36 hours BEFORE HURRICANE Beryl!! Due to WiFi being in and out I was finally able to upload this one and had to prioritize the “Playa Del Carmen, 10 Hours After Hurricane Beryl” video! I tried to make that clear in the title and thumbnail but sorry for any confusion, and thanks for watching Mike! Typically my videos are closer to real time, so I can understand the confusion.

Miss it a lot, I remember few years ago we got there right between two hurricanes I don't remember names but it was big mess with broken palms and glass thank God for Tequila
