awesome vid as always. got my first beach caster today and had to test it out soon as I got home from work. got 8 mackerel now I need to get a tripod and proper set up, this is all down to you guys so when the wife starts complaining that she never sees me ill point her in your direction lol. thanks for all the tips keep the vids coming
I take a small square bucket every time I go beach fishing. 2/3 filled with sea water when I arrive - available to rinse hands throughout the trip, so never any dirty hands
Great! Just what I needed. Not catching a thing here near Caister though. Although the weed has died down and less crab action, the seals are sooooo abundant they just sit and look at you. Great video thanks, David
TAFishing As far as this casting business goes, I would like to do both and am practising pendulum casting while just fishing well inside a hundred yards. I simply don't see many regulars distance casting! They seem to do the same as me, two swings and just chuck it. With a lot of fishing being done at night in the coming months is pendulum casting safe anyway?
David Harvey I was given a lesson last week by England International junior Charlie from Minehead. He hammered 6 bass with thin line right next to me with a ten yard cast.Got him on film.Ridiculously close.A real eye opener.Bait in the water is what counts.
Lucky guy. When I was fishing out of Prince Rupert it was Halibut and Lingcod. About this time of year too.Got frozen blasting along in the boat.Amazing scenery.
Yeah we got a few good Hali's over 50lb and two massive 35lb and 37lb Lingcod. Lots of salmon too, I fished everyday all summer whenever I got the chance! Got some decent footage of the dolphins that played with us too.
Mabye with the colder days to come (cant wait !!),if you have a week to spare, you could make a video of all your fishing gear.Sure it would be interesting with lots of stories and history. Nice vid'.
Hey Graeme, I know this is an older video but do you recall what reel you’re using at the 14:00 mark when you’re talking about casting distance, looks like a nice reel and I was just curious
Another excellent programme thank you Graeme, and especially nice for me to get this one fresh off the tree! I'm a bit addicted to one particular spot - Hurst spit down near the parking and footbridge, overlooking The Needles.. Have you ever fished along there? May I ask a question: How long would you say you leave your bait in the water if nothing bites? I appreciate there are many variables, but for argument's sake in fairly placid conditions like the day this was filmed. Very many thanks for everything you do.
I do it by the clock.30 mins.Bait comes back chewed by crabs then drop to 20 mins.Bait stripped in 10 mins ? Time to think of a big bait or move from bait-stripping crabs. If the baits untouched I have no problem leaving it out 45 mins.
Its funny, in the UK codling is a rarity while in Norway theyre a freakin pest. They take whatever bait they get and there are soooo many. Tight lines:)
Hi Mate, Can you suggest a good place to go fishing for Cod in Norway for us Brits? I would love to catch big Cod from the shore. Also any suggestions on where to stay? Air BnB or guest house etc. Cheers
TAFishing I couldn't see it and I was there.I still can't see it !! but my eyes aren't 20:20 vision.More like 3:3. I'll take your word for it...Graeme(PS If I found it,there's only one place it would be going, and that's on the hook !!"...Turbot love them)
Brilliant, when will anglers learn it's not about casting, it's about fishing. Top video, keep up the good work. The comment anglers can cast past the fish is so true, I have no idea why anglers wish to reach the horizon, perhaps it is to impress the people around them?
I'm not a great fish eater, I just can't be bothered with fiddling through the bones. However,Wayne Comben, who helps by giving info on how to cook fish properly in his "Comben's Kitchen" is gradually changing my mind. He can remove bones like a brain surgeon so it makes the meal enjoyable, rather than a trial. I do like to return most of my fish though.
Well done guys on 50000 subs you lot are great anglers and it would be very nice if you came down to apps court. Great fishery but you need to try dont just put in a pva of pellets feed them aswell. Thanks guys and again well done.
I fished here friday was i nightmare walking on the rocks be even worse if raining.we fished til dark then went blue anchor. Had some brilliant bites here but couldnt turn it into a fish :-(
It's a GoPro Liam, not exactly known for its sound quality.....Can you imagine the difficulty Graeme would have had if he were to try and use the big camera on the tripod on those boulders on his own?? Guess he just used it for ease of use really. - Mike
Cast like a girl. lol. Yeh, sure but he gets the results all the time and so what? Graham proved his point in this video with a good Codling well done. A nice size. Off fishing Wednesday sod the weather I love it.
OK you've got me addicted to your videos mate....LOVE EM...!!!
love to see a video on tench
awesome vid as always. got my first beach caster today and had to test it out soon as I got home from work. got 8 mackerel now I need to get a tripod and proper set up, this is all down to you guys so when the wife starts complaining that she never sees me ill point her in your direction lol. thanks for all the tips keep the vids coming
haha thanks! Glad it's all helping you though - Mike
Great vid guys, love to see a tench vid, tips perhaps? Thanks
Nothing for this year.Probably look at them next June.
Ok no worries. It was only cos I had never caught tench. Love the carp vids and others, keep up the totally awesome work! ;)
A great video. I always learn something new from you guys. Thx!
Thank you Dennis
Hi can you please can you do a vid on how to know if you are buying good quality tackle. Also can you do a tench one with tips.
We missed the Tench again this year,so many other species about in the June/August period, but we'll see about doing something next year.
Okay thats cool keep up the good work and keep those big fish coming in.
Great tips as usual Graeme! Keep up the good work!
I take a small square bucket every time I go beach fishing. 2/3 filled with sea water when I arrive - available to rinse hands throughout the trip, so never any dirty hands
Great tips as usual. Going out on the salt any time soon.
This beach is literally across the water from where I live in Wales. Good fishing but a tackle killer!
Great! Just what I needed. Not catching a thing here near Caister though. Although the weed has died down and less crab action, the seals are sooooo abundant they just sit and look at you.
Great video thanks, David
Thank you David, fishing can definitely shut down when the Seals are about.

I mentioned seals previously. Well they are all prowling within 10 meters of the shore!! And they know more about catching fish than all of us!
You lads Rock!! Thanks for doing all this for us all to learn from those in the know. Great lessons and I learnt a great deal.
nice fishing, few weeks ago i went with a friend fishing on the beach here, and we caught some dogfish at night. was fun
What lb line do you use as I am a new comer to see fishing and I need some help with bait and tactics
Great video as always guys, brightened up my day :)
Thank you
I'd love to see TAfishing do some sea fishing in the northeast, maybe I could learn about some decent spots.
try using a forum for local advice. google - "NESA" I doubt Graeme would know our marks well enough to give good advice :)
Just came back from 3 months in Prince Rupert, cod and pollock are a nuisance fish there, you would be in heaven!
Lucky guy. When I was fishing out of Prince Rupert it was Halibut and Lingcod. About this time of year too.Got frozen blasting along in the boat.Amazing scenery.

Great Vid love it ,you got some good fish ,good tips too, cheers
Thank you Peter
great video as always, do you ever use a telescopic rod on beach trips Graeme?
Great video Graeme!! When you mentioned nothing big, I would much rather catch smaller fish than nothing, A big fish is a bonus!
Exactly!
Hey Graeme, I know this is an older video but do you recall what reel you’re using at the 14:00 mark when you’re talking about casting distance, looks like a nice reel and I was just curious
Graeme is there any chance of you going pearch fishing soon because just watched ur old pearch one and it was really good
Graeme isn't but I have just finished filming a perch episode and I am currently in the process of editing it. It will be up soon - Mike
thanks keep up the good work

What size rod would say is good for all round beach fishing? And any good makes types of rod you would recommend? Thanks
Is that a small sand eel jumping around on the sand at 19:00 to 19:03 ? on the left hand side of the screen. love the show by the way :)
You have incredibly keen eyes! I just watched that back and I think you might be right! Well spotted - Mike
TAFishing I couldn't see it and I was there.I still can't see it !! but my eyes aren't 20:20 vision.More like 3:3. I'll take your word for it...Graeme(PS If I found it,there's only one place it would be going, and that's on the hook !!"...Turbot love them)
Who does your buffer music, Graeme?
Cast like a girl? Fatima Whitbred maybe, cheers another great video
Brilliant, when will anglers learn it's not about casting, it's about fishing. Top video, keep up the good work. The comment anglers can cast past the fish is so true, I have no idea why anglers wish to reach the horizon, perhaps it is to impress the people around them?
No idea, there are times when a longer cast would be better. But like Graeme says, 90% of the time just a 80 yard chuck can do the business!
another great video thanks
Quick question Graeme! Do you ever eat any of your catches? Most fish make good food from British waters apparently!
I'm not a great fish eater, I just can't be bothered with fiddling through the bones. However,Wayne Comben, who helps by giving info on how to cook fish properly in his "Comben's Kitchen" is gradually changing my mind. Awesome. I find that trying everything once can mean some amazing meals! Thanks for replying!
I have a question why are you using an anchor weight when the sea conditions are good with no waves?
Well done guys on 50000 subs you lot are great anglers and it would be very nice if you came down to apps court. Great fishery but you need to try dont just put in a pva of pellets feed them aswell. Thanks guys and again well done.
Can you do another video on pier fishing please
Pretty busy filming schedule at the moment but we will try at some point
Thanks
I fished here friday was i nightmare walking on the rocks be even worse if raining.we fished til dark then went blue anchor. Had some brilliant bites here but couldnt turn it into a fish :-(
Great video Graeme :) liked n subscribed
Thanks Sam
NICE VIDEO PRO :D
What are those rods
Cono-flex I think mate. Just ask Graeme if you need to. Just click 'reply' on any TAFishing comment they have left on this vid.
Hi
Thaught I would say that wasn't a slipper limpet ir was a common limpet
whats up with the sound quality guys??????
It's a GoPro Liam, not exactly known for its sound quality.....Can you imagine the difficulty Graeme would have had if he were to try and use the big camera on the tripod on those boulders on his own?? Guess he just used it for ease of use really.

Waste of time putting your rods so far back as you have to walk twice as far to cast and retrieve .. easier to move back with the tide
