Some tips when using the chrome gel: 1. Try to use a small amount at a time. Don't drown your brush in it, because it will be runny and won't turn out mirror like. 2. Try to paint in lines. It's time consuming if using it for full coverage, but you need to do small lines because it leaves a lot of streaks otherwise. 3. Avoid going over your lines repeatedly, the gel has a tendency to get clumpy and dull. 4. Paint slowly with it. 5. After you've painted the design you want, let it sit for about 30 seconds before curing it. When you let it sit, it helps to keep particles together and give mirror effect. 6. For some reason, this gel works best by using a reinfore gel and then top coat. There have been a lot of people that have the same issue. When they top coat the chrome gel, it makes it look dull and you lose the mirror effect. Add reinfore gel, cure it and then add your top coat. Hope this helps! ❤
I love your videos! This chrome paint makes me hopeful but I've been severely disappointed before... Do you have any curing tips to keep it from dulling/burning?
@@lauriedi1 I cure it for 60 seconds, but I let it sit for about 30-40 seconds before doing so. It cures well, but I've learned adding top coat immediately after curing, dulls the chrome. Now I cure it, add some kind of reinfore gel (nail strengthener, builder gel, polygel, or a 6 in 1 type of glue), cure again and then add top coat and cure for the last time.
@@yolyrom7233 its actually termed "reinfore". That's how I've actually seen it and that's how it was named. Nail strengthener or builder gel. Something like that.
There’s no such thing as “reinfor” or “reinfore” gel or nail polish. If you mean “reinforcement”, a product specifically under this name doesn’t appear. Google equates it to structure gel or builder gel and Amazon to strengthening nail polish base coat. I just tried it with rubber base & also hard gel ( I don’t have nail polish strengthening base) and it still dulls my chrome (powder). 😢
I think as long as clients are still asking for designs they are not outdated. Plus this design is so cool looking! I think it is one that should stick around for a while.
Aura nails is what they're called. And they're still trending. I see them all the time. I have a pot of this silver gel from Born Pretty and omg it's super shiny and thin as water lol. It's really good stuff. Born Pretty seems to always be on the leading edge of new trendy products. Been loving them the last few years!
well. I totally agree i am soooo waiting for an chrome gel to appear on the market. thanks for your video but i am really not convinced by this new product. It looks like there are bubbles on the silver lines, and also cracks. And it doesn't appear mirror-like to me. plus, i would love if a chrome miror gel was able to cover an entire nail, this one doesn't appear like it's gonna do that job. It just looks like a good silver painting, but definitely not chrom painting
I remember back in the day Organic nails had a gold gel that was extremely metallic like this but I haven't heard from them in a while. It might be worth looking at for gold.
I think if you just over cure your base, it will give you a patchy look like that, it’s probably very hard to control and be precise as to what part will retain the chrome and what parents won’t
The only thing is, with all of these chrome gels, they do dull when topcoated. I have this one, Madame Glam etc (about 6 different ones) and they all do it. If you don't topcoat (the no wipe ones like MG) they dull with hand washing. I went back to messy but effective chrome powder.
i found that bc the chrome gel is so pigment packed, if it's used thickly, ts doesn't cure all the way through. def use only for detailed work and thin layers.
Love, love, love your blouse! The nails with the fade in the center are called "blush nails". Aura nails are similar but have the aurora, see-through effect usually created with a plastic strip placed on top of a thicker clear base and topped with a chrome powder.
I find with my gold metal gel it very soon after few uses it develops a lump inside the jar, and colour goes off, never have this problem with the silver, except that it loses its mirrorness over time in the pot. I tried reaching out the the company to ask information if maybe temperature of room can affect the product over time. Or should you stir it frequently but didn’t get any info in return
Also can you please give your opinion on their polygel? I bought one and it's so runny and sticky, and any amount of slip or alcohol just leaves white residue... It was ok for dual forms, I'm planning to use it for adhering gel-x extensions, but applying it over paper forms was a challenge Was it runny for you? Paired well with slip or alcohol?
I had the same issue. I pair mine with alcohol, but honestly I don't use it as much as I anticipated because it's just too runny for paper forms. It does work for dual forms, but it's more work than it's worth sometimes.
Watt (power) has everything to do with curing. Less power, the more curing time and less light penetration, so uneven curing plus potential for curing material to move which is undesirable.
Hello et je suis française Vous ne mettez pas de base à la lunule ? Comment cette partie est protégée car la capsule n est pas posée sous la cuticule ? Merci😊
How do you get the apex to form where you need it to when using dual forms? Every time I try to use dual forms, the apex doesn't form on top of the nail where I need it. Most of the product mives out to the end of my fingers, and the nail extensions tear as soon as I finish curing the top coat.
The opening images of "chrome nails" are clearly not- they are press-ons, and using those images perpetuates false expectations of what actual chrome will look like.
Are you familiar with kirsty Meakin, she has theeee blackest blackest black gel polish. It's called VOID. YOU GOTTA TRY IT. YOU 2 SHOULD COLLAB I SWEAR. THE ART BETWEEN YOU ARE OUTSTANDING. SHE'S WILD AND CRAZY AND YOU ARE MEAK AND RESERVED. Or you appear to be. Lol But, watching you both these last few years. Yeah you should meet each other. Or have you already. Lol
So your microphone isn't working. But I actually think your microphone is working fine but when you hit the record button I think you're using the wrong input on your computer or whatever you're using to record. When you go to your sound settings when you're recording and you click sound input for your microphone you should have a few options whether you're using a wireless microphone or a desktop computer microphone If there's a couple microphone options available, you have to click the one that is clipped to your chest. It sounds like you forgot to change the input on your computer to your lavalier microphone. Reach out to somebody they'll confirm everything I'm saying

What is “reinforce” gel

Absolutely gorgeous nail art design!!!! 🖤🤍🩶
Thank you so much 🤗
Beautiful set! I was hoping the opal polygel was going to look like an opal.
Its definitely not outdated, I ordered mirror gel recently to do these designs too!!
I use their metal gel in aquarium designs, shaping it with plastic wrap and then encapsulating. Looks super cool
Chrome nail powder designs are very popular. I really like those designs 🤩🤩Thank You for Sharing ❤❤
WoW!! The mani is absolutely gorgeous! 🤗
Thank you! 🤗
That is so cool and pretty! 😍 its not even streaks in the Chrome gel!
You are truly talented in your CRAFT😘
They are beautifully finished
Very beautyful. I prefer the Black one with white Ombre!

So gorgeous as always. Ur always doing the most beautiful work.

The example video of chrome powder not working in the beginning was a really cool effect! I'd love to be able to do that on purpose 😂😮
😂

This is a really nice design! Thank you and yes I would like to see more similar designs like this.
The only thing is, with all of these chrome gels, they do dull when topcoated. I have this one, Madame Glam etc (about 6 different ones) and they all do it. If you don't topcoat (the no wipe ones like MG) they dull with hand washing. I went back to messy but effective chrome powder.
Fabulous design and products❤
Thanks so much 😊
I’d love to see this with full nail coverage! Can it be done or is it best for nail art?
i found that bc the chrome gel is so pigment packed, if it's used thickly, ts doesn't cure all the way through. def use only for detailed work and thin layers.
These are called "Aura" nails I think. Beautiful work!
Oh thank you!
Yes the ombre center is aura and the type of linework is tribal

I need that chrome gel!
That was awesome good job
Looks fantastic 😍
Nails are so beautiful. ❤
Thank you! 😊
That’s so pretty
The video is excellent🫶..but.. I would like to know where you bought the nail lamp, what brand it is pls?🙂
Absolutely fabulous 👌🌹🇿🇦
What top coat do you use over the chrome gel? Mine always makes the chrome look more dull.
Born Pretty is a sister company to Modelones
I find with my gold metal gel it very soon after few uses it develops a lump inside the jar, and colour goes off, never have this problem with the silver, except that it loses its mirrorness over time in the pot. where does your top comes from ? it's gorgeous ! have you made it yourself ?
What could be the reason for it to loose its shine after applying top coat?
Madam Glam has had that for over a year. I use it often. Did you not know about it?
What brand dual forms are you using here? I cant seem to find dual forms i like and these look good
Also can you please give your opinion on their polygel? I bought one and it's so runny and sticky, and any amount of slip or alcohol just leaves white residue... It was ok for dual forms, I'm planning to use it for adhering gel-x extensions, but applying it over paper forms was a challenge

Yeah, it's a bit too runny for me too, using it with dual forms is ok, but for regular forms - too soft, I agree
I had the same issue. I pair mine with alcohol, but honestly I don't use it as much as I anticipated because it's just too runny for paper forms. It does work for dual forms, but it's more work than it's worth sometimes.
People need to know watts have nothing to do with gel curing. The light wavelength determines the curing.
more watts means more bulbs tho
Watt (power) has everything to do with curing. Less power, the more curing time and less light penetration, so uneven curing plus potential for curing material to move which is undesirable.
Which dualforms (brand & model) are you using here? I didn't see them listed in the description box and wasn't able to find them on your Amazon list.

I try to pick dual forms that have the shape with apex, otherwise, you can't build it, it's going to be flat
@@Nailcou thank you! I will look for those. I think what I have are the flat ones.
Does it come in gold I love gold
Does the product smell? I got some and just having it in my room the hole space had a nasty stink 😢.
Yes, there is a specific smell if you get close to the jar , but I can’t really feel it from the distance
Streaking
Kind of looks like "Mirror Nail Polish" without the Brushed chrome finish.
nice
We call it Y2K here in Indonesia

Isn't it toxic? It doesn't look healthy for body.
