We men are just tired of trying to hit a moving target. The goalpost keeps moving. Are isn’t consistent. Our overtures are always subject to differing results. Unrealistic expectations when we do get past any initial conversation. And more importantly, the high inherent risks of loss for committing to a woman with absolutely nothing to gain. Chivalry in contemporary times means courtesy. It is usually shown from the stronger or dominant party, from the advantageous to towards the disadvantageous or weaker party. It is highly contestable that in our time, men have any advantages, as generally they are the weaker party. The geldings. Especially in the political sense, within social groups. Western women, the new doms by Feminist design, today do not normally show courtesy. Some men still do show old fashioned style courtesy as a cultural vestige, but it is an anachronism. A better 'do unto others' would be to insist on politeness and civility and leave it at that IMO.

A guy can put his career in jeopardy for approaching a colleague, the same repercussions don't happen if a woman approaches. You have insane rules at clubs where guys can't look at a woman for fear of being kicked out and now this woman says it's hard for her to go on dating apps. Try being a guy for a day - just not worth the trouble looking for a partner.
