Tip: If you want brown butter, cook it on lower heat (low to medium low). If while trying to make brown butter your butter is sizzling loudly the moment it hits the pan, remove the pan from the heat and wait for everything to reduce in temperature. This way, your butter won’t be burnt. Hope this helped!
Some extra instructions if you’re trying to make brown butter: 1. Place butter in a pan (preferably light bottomed, so you can see when the butter is browned) over low to medium low heat. 2. Keep stirring, waiting for the butter to fully melt. Once it’s fully melted, it should begin to foam up. 3. About 5-8 minutes after you started, the butter should have turned golden brown. This is when you can take it off the heat and use however you’d like!
Steam coming off water or chicken wouldn't normally set off fire alarms. There would have to be a ton of it because it dissipates in the air pretty quickly. Smoke however is just floating carbon and wafts upward and doesn't dissipate in the air. Smoke messes with the alarm by breaking the line of sight between two ion sensors or light sensors. That's why when one goes off you fan the detector in order to clear the smoke out of it so the sensors can see each other again.
@@defnotnaruto222 Lots of factors can go into it. I said "normally it wouldn't do that" but depending on how you're cooking it (fried? Grilled? Saute? Mini oven baked?) It could be anything. Just know something had to reach the ceiling (steam or smoke) and mess with an ion sensor or light sensor. If you don't see smoke or steam going up there but it's still going off. Then it's probably an ion sensor. But I have no knowledge about ions. And how cooking chicken could be messing with that. That one you have to figure out on your own.
@@pistolpete8231 I think it’s less about where they’re doing it and more about the equipment they use to make such dishes. Whether they’re in a bed or not doesn’t actually matter or make much of a difference. It’s all the same equipment either way lmao.
@NotCheddarCheese well, the implication is that he's cooking in bed. That's not true. It's a lie. So in your mind, if a lie doesn't matter, that's on YOU. Not me.

It looks solid but it seems to be missing the mirepoix which is the combination of onions, peppers, and celery. It’s the base of all cajun cooking and it would probably light up your dish even more.
You're close, but mirepoix is traditionally carrot, Onion, and celery (in french cooking). For Cajun cuisine, it's usually called the Holy Trinity and includes the ingredients you listed. The main difference is the inclusion of pepper which is where you can see a clear difference in Cajun and French cuisine, though they're still closely related.

I recently stumbled upon your channel and I find your dorm cooking videos inspiring. Really looking forward to trying the appliances you also use I. Your videos. Thank you for sharing your dorm cooking recipes aa they are a gem especially as a semi broke college student.
I made this today using your recipe and it came out SOOOO good, my brother and cousin were begging to taste when they saw me putting it all together in the plate, thanks !! Keep up the good work
This was the first recipe I’ve attempted from online videos. Was not disappointed, will definitely be making this on multiple occasions from now on. 🤣 (it’s not a very expensive dish either)
This is really impressive out of a dorm room. I feel so bad for you having to use that knife. If you can upgrade that situation you’ll be very happy with the results. Nothing more satisfying than cutting with a sharp knife.
I love how you cook, you can cook better than me and I’m 67 years old, lol! I really enjoy your videos buddy, you should definitely become a Chef 👨🍳 Keep up the great work:)❤️
Everything looks 🏆❗ Cutting up the Chicken Breasts in Halves before you cook it, does help the chicken breast cook faster & more evenely, especially for the rear-end of the chicken breast where it is more thick❗😂 💯
Looks amazing, just a heads up to others trying to replicate this not to allow the leftover raw chicken juice from cutting board touch everything. Especially the part where he cuts the now cooked chicken on the same cutting board with raw chicken juice still all over it.
When I use to rent a room with me and my 3 kids I did something like that in my room because my roommate would always get my kids food so got those small stove and my small fridge and my microwave all in my room until I got apartment for us

@bobbysmurf9915 the exact temperatures are kind of necessary since butter burns really easily.
I think it's safe to say he has no fire alarms in his room
Xd 🤣
Yes he has one. In his last short you hear it

@Mike-my7uf Fair explanation, but how come when I cook chicken, my fire alarm goes off?
This statement was made by my brother in his college dorm

the food you make always impresses me even though it’s made in a dorm room
Highly doubt it’s an actual dorm room, but just a regular bedroom

Same thing I thought. Nothing was sanitized.
That’s what I’m always thinking about. I don’t see him washing his hands or at least using sanitizer and wipes!

you're not supposed to put raw chicken on a wooden cutting board

FYI There is a ton of salt in Tony chachere’s already, no need to add more. I believe it says on container to use like salt.
Those smells must permeate the dorm and drive the other students crazy!!

Especially if there are Vegans lol
If he had Benny Blanco in his room, he’s definitely not in college lol

Doing this with a white bed spread is insane ✨️👍✨️👍
Finally someone who uses Tony's as Cajun Seasoning!! It is a staple to all cajun foods in Louisiana. No home in Louisiana should be without it.
Tony's is so salty that additional salt is mostly unnecessary.
