    I have upmost respect for King Bobalouie when he said they took the easy way out by taking from people rather than developing their minds to do something for themselves and the community.

    +Kev Mac you should've asked him was it true that Raymond Washington hated guns. ive read that somewhere.good interview btw. it appears to me these guys who gang banged back then had more heart to fist fight and shoot fair ones. the gunplay then wasn't off the charts like it is now.

    • @PancakeDiaries
      @PancakeDiaries 3 года назад +1

      The shooting started back then... Watch all the videos. A lot of shooting went down back then. The hands were the norm but as shit grew, straps came out. Elg from the Brims talks about toting the sawed off under the trench and the jungles surrounding the Brims w guns. Frog from BH talks about Raymond and someone else not liking guns. A few do if I'm not mistaking

    thats crazy, I had the chance to meet Bulldog, OG Bennie Ray Simpson, when he got out in the pen, I think this was 94....might have been 92...but dude was wanting to fight these cats down the street....not gone happen. 1 respect to my grandmother and if my father would sen that shit then my dad would have tripped with Bennie cause these cats would have been disrespecting my grandmothers place. my father is Lil Tommie or Lil T OG Wall Nuts, one of the few that told Raymond Washington that we all can be cool, but this Wall over here. my uncle Big John Seale rip....lived across from Fremont. word.

      Mamangutu Kijana I heard of john seale. Think his name was was mentioned in tookies book about being one of the muscular guys around the city. Have anymore info on him ? Was he active or just around?

    • @Steve0verton
      @Steve0verton 7 лет назад +2

      Desmond Lowery
      Big John Seale was a Walnut. He was the one that Jameel couldn't see and wouldn't see with hands. My uncle did not like him what so ever. He would walk over to the Gardens from Fremont and call him out because he would be talking about what he would do but never come out side to get down.
      as mentioned in Tookies book, Jameel had problems with Seales and the Wall Nuts.
      He passed I believe 20 or 21 years ago from a hole in his heart.

    Desmond ..Greetings brother..Later he was hated for calling for Tolkien death and calling him out while on death row....In the early 70s drugs such as Angel dust..acid...glue....some how poped up ....Added to the increase of crime and deaths...And change many of our personalities mines included....Doing Jr high school..Jamel walk around Drew with his chest out but so did a lot of us..He was a weight lifter that got the attention of the Avenues..who was all pretty much weight lifters..with his deep voice he became an outcast....

    Dude had too many friends... first was a wanna be Avenue turned Crip, but also cool with Miles fam/77th/FIG/later Swans (these dual affiliations caused drama), at the same time had affiliations to Piru St in Compton, ended up moving to Piru St after getting ran out of E/S... Piru St was cool with Crips at first but other homies had issues that ended up all bad... AC stayed in the middle of shit...

    Great interview kev on the origins of the crips. But I would like to know why they chose the name crips? Is it a acronym for something. Because he cleared up that it wasn't because of the black panther movement or because they originated from the avenues, so they were called the baby avenues or cribs.
