@4:36 "I'm not just aiming for the note I'm aiming for the sound!" Best advice I received from this lecture, there's incredible insight from other content by Graham Fitch as well! Thank you.
You're great, Fitch. Thank you so much for making me eager to sit at the piano every time I watch your masterclasses. Sharp analysis and fresh, practical wisdom.
Awesome addition to part 1, really enjoyed the jump and land technique. Great to see etude 10-3 as an example too since it’s one of my favourite pieces ever.
Late reply but in case you're still searching, it's Orfeo ed Euridice, Dance of the Blessed Spirits (Act 2) by Gluck. Not sure which piano transcription was played at the beginning but my favourite version is the one arranged by Sgambati and played by Yuja Wang
he isn't just teaching the piano, he is showing us how to bring joy to to the process (oh, and the singing .... and the SHIRT! ... such good things)
Isn't he, Forrest? Graham is wonderful and unique!!

@@gabrie1c Thank you, I did have it already, but appreciate the info
This even sounds like a way one could improvise on a memorized piece….
repetition legitimizes
repetition legitimizes
But really.......
repetition legitimizes
...nice.
Oh, just transpose. If you can't, then you don't know the passage or piece, it's a mime.
Very helpful, thank you 💕
