I have always dealt with anxiety and depression. I also have a condition that makes me prone to anxiety and depression and stress makes my condition worse. These songs always manage to calm me and help make me feel better. I don’t think Joe Hisashi or the Ghibli team understand how much they’ve helped people. For years I’ve turned to these movies and playlists for self healing. They never fail to make me feel more like myself and less like my condition.
I watch this every night before I go to sleep and imagine myself looking out the window in Japan while it’s raining
I have not gone to Japan. Next summer I have plans, and I hope I can go……

An unusual image for these kind of ambience videos. It very soothing, the sound of gentle rain is lovely, not over the top. The music is soft and sublime. However, the choice of colours in this image is absolutely perfect. they are light pastel colours which render a further quiet and subdued atmosphere to the whole scene. I love everything about it, even the motor bike at the front. I have not seen one of those in many decades, we used to call them scooters. It's a beautiful job, thank you so much for sharing this.
