I've noticed that the time that drones crash is when people stop to see if they will make the way through and the drone tries to pass but they see the person too close and they stop to figure out what to do and that's when is 90% to crash but if you keep walking and don't mind what the drone is going to do, then it will act amazingly good and very surprising the moves the drone makes. I've put my mavic 3 through almost impossible paths and me without looking back and it amazed me so much. I love your content and I've learned from you many times. Thanks for your videos
Very impressive 😁💯👍. Hi Henrik 👋. Just simply amazing . You put it through the toughest test. Hope you had a wonderful day and feeling great today 👍. Thank you so very much for sharing this video and God bless you and your family always 🙏. Have a great week Henrik and looking forward to seeing more videos soon.
Henrik, you set it to Nifty Mode which specifically states it will "fly closer to obstacles" and is more risky and then you complain that it is flying quote "dangerously close to branches" I think you need to take some responsibility for that!
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Fair enough. Also you need to be walking/moving for it to know what "Front" or "Side" is, though I see Air 3S now drawing Amber/Orange Boxes on our FACES now, so maybe a bit of Neo IA happening! or identifying subjects so it doesn't switch to another person. DID YOU SET: "ALLOW NEAR GROUND FLIGHT? "Allows flight below 2 meters for better composition" - AND FLYING UNDER BRANCHES. Time for a THIRD TEST!! TIP: Camera Motion Fast/Slow actually means DRONE MOTION. I set Mini 4 Pro and Air 3 to fast, and it swung up between branches WAY to fast for my comfort. I ONLY use "Fast" in open spaces after that!
I am a happy Mini 2 owner. I have to say this Air 3s is amazing technology. To think these drones will only get better in the near future. Really impressive.
The little Neo with no sensors apart from landing has far superior obstacle avoidance in my opinion. DJI have given the Neo much better brains in that department to there larger drones. I think DJI should incorporate the algorithms that they incorporated into the Neo for there larger drones and you have then the added sensors, but just proves how amazing the little Neo is compared to 1000 plus drone.
I believe that somewhere amongst the DJI information they mention that even with the fancy anti-collision system it is not able to "see" fine items like twigs and power lines. I note that the blades appear to contact some of the twigs and it drops height. For sure educational. It appears that the wheel, in the lower left corner, has to possibility to select to position of the drone relative to the tracked subject. I tried today with motor bike and the drone "wandered" quite a lot. With what is observed here I shall try what i have observed.
Ok so I’ve done all this testing and your mistake is u keep stopping! If u keep on walking it figures stuff out quicker and gets a move on! This thing is beast!! 💯👊🏻
I will be getting an AIR 3S soon and realised that the waypoints could extend the maximum range by setting to continue waypoints on signal loss. It would be great if you could do a video demonstrating that
Keep going !! It's always easy to talk from a distance. But this is new drone (€€€) etc. Always has a bit of fear in the beginnig. Try to keep moving and then the drone will make the right movements for sure. 😅😅
The camera quality seems very good. Going in and out of shade seems to be no problem. Can you fly it over water to see if it reads the height accurately? That's been a problem for me on the mini 3 and 4 pro.
I think the idea of active track is to follow an object t or person, that is moving.. However, you kept stopping to see what it was doing, when you should have just kept moving, instead of waiting every so often to see how it was doing.
Once again you are turning around and facing the drone when you have in follow from behind !! You need to have faith and stop turning around and looking at it my friend otherwise you will not get the full functionality from the drones systems.
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA I film professionally for the BBC and cover extreme sports one of which is mountain biking which involves wooded areas, flying and filming at speed and this drone although not my main drone has handled the terrain extremely well without the issues you keep coming across.
You should try to move for longer periods of time , when you stop the drone tends to wonder. That has been the case for a few releases too. I think you are just too worried to do a legit comprehensive “test”
For example 7:47 you stopped. Why? Bc that makes the drone stop. Just walk and let it actually work. This video is frustrating lol But I appreciate your efforts .. Worst case you replace propellors. 🤷♂️
10:20 and see you kept walking and it did great , through much more difficult scenarios Just keep it moving !!! Then you got to the end and stopped again 🤦♂️
It seems to me that the drone has a problem when you stop, then the drone behaves as if it has ADHD, but when you keep moving the drone finds its way. Maybe you should run instead of walking ;)
Awesome drone no doubt but the tracking sucks let face it, my mini3 pro tracks better than my Air3 . And my go to tracker is the Neo, come in DJI your $200 Neo tracks better than your $1000 than Air 3s, pound for pound Neo is king
Nice try but You are doing a big mistake. you stop and wait to bypass the drone an obstacle but you cut the distance between \you and the drone and You limit the movement of the drone. Active track like this does not give the drone space to move around.
Why not make a more scientific test of O A by creating controlled obstacles? Make like curtains of more and more tiny strings, vary the distance between the strings etc etc.
You love this ‘stuff’. Your enthusiasm mimics a child’s first Christmas. You’re the happiest man on the planet.❤
hehe, yes

Exactly You are right i have the same thinking for it
Same experience with my Mini 4 Pro. Stop and your drone is in trouble, keep on walking and it will find it's way. It's called tracking for a reason.

WAY AWESOME the technology gets better and better ,I hope the Mini 5 will have some of it
Wow You really put the Air 3s through a obstacle course Thanks Great Video and Awesome Drone. 🙂💙👍
Henrik, you set it to Nifty Mode which specifically states it will "fly closer to obstacles" and is more risky and then you complain that it is flying quote "dangerously close to branches" I think you need to take some responsibility for that!
Sure I'm not complaining, I just don't like it

I moght have missed that setting, I'll go there towards the end of the week, so I can give it another go
Great videos Henrik ! All the best from the UK😊

Great video I recommend to keep a steady pace instead of stopping to take a look at the drone and walking backwards
Noted!
That was awesome . really enjoyed
Awesome, thank you!
I can’t afford to miss work with a down Drone, thank you so much for making these videos!
My pleasure!
Love your real life tests Henrik. We must see the limits of these devices to give us peace of mind. Better you than me 😂
yes that is true

It’s also like 3x smaller with guards 😂

I can confirm this, that is having a hard time with Twigs and branches - not all the time, but when it’s compensating outside the range of the Lidar

Good idea
Actually will work on Air3 also. It works flawlessly.
Outstanding thank you so much very good input

This is a Frankenstein patchwork drone. You have two different sensor sizes that can't be mixed to match footage
The camera quality seems very good. Going in and out of shade seems to be no problem. Can you fly it over water to see if it reads the height accurately? That's been a problem for me on the mini 3 and 4 pro.
Nice 👍
I like your laugh. 😅
Nice video, does it also work when you have the drone in front of you?
yes, but then you don't have the support from lidar
How about making a waypoint mission down one of those forest paths and see if it can fly the mission without following someone.
Do you enable Near-Ground Flight in Focus Settings?
Yes
I really think your videos would be a lot better if you would keep moving and stop stopping.. The drone will not follow you if you're not moving!!
yes, I might to it again
@TECHDRONEMEDIA thank u for understanding!!
Ok but new and more challenging
Narhh, I did 3S crash on this course on the test afterward
Normal mode would have been better nifty waits tell the last moment and more for manual flight
Do a new active track with Dji air 3 and go in those places that you went with the air 3s
I did that in the past, same route
Ok but new and more challenging
I believe the people who use DJI's ActiveTrack the most are probably just testers and RUclipsrs... 😂
I think the idea of active track is to follow an object t or person, that is moving.. However, you kept stopping to see what it was doing, when you should have just kept moving, instead of waiting every so often to see how it was doing.
If you stop, the drone will stop too. No tracking of a stationary objekt. Just keep walking and the results get instandly better.
Once again you are turning around and facing the drone when you have in follow from behind !! You need to have faith and stop turning around and looking at it my friend otherwise you will not get the full functionality from the drones systems.
Go do it yourself and show me the video :-)

And again at 9:00. Why are you stopping !!!??? That’s why the drone is stopping lol .. you are simply way too nervous.
10:20 and see you kept walking and it did great , through much more difficult scenarios Just keep it moving !!! Then you got to the end and stopped again 🤦♂️
You know why because I crashed it twice
It seems to me that the drone has a problem when you stop, then the drone behaves as if it has ADHD, but when you keep moving the drone finds its way. Maybe you should run instead of walking ;)

Who buys a drone for this?
No one really
If I dislike Your video I push the dislike button even 3 times! Joking!
