To have the talent/skill, combined with a decent work ethic , as well as the sweet sweet love of percussion that tends to nurture the fine art of music out of the circadian rhythm that is pulsing, breathing , and infinitely blooming on
In 1969 at 14 yrs old I played by ear drumming at the after school center(Rap)but after a couple of yrs I loved Hendrix too much and went on guitar and yrs later I heard Rush and back on the drums then I heard Eddie Van Halen and back to guitar? (Sheesh). "Then" ...I got into this crazy Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker thing. Ginger Baker lived in Africa for 5-6 yrs to study the African beat and I fell in love with the complicated-ness of it but (lightly put) not a fan of jazz even tho I love Buddy Rich. I love what you did...yes exactly not simple and beautifully done, I'm a big watch out for timbale players working they're trapset...incredible broken beats like what you just did.Masterful, aloha!
Thanks for the informative breakdown of Afro Blue, an iconic as well as hypnotic piece of music featuring some great musicians who clearly have amazing feel. I was waiting for you to reach over a grab a bass guitar from somewhere...Haha!
The counting is always a big help. Thanks for the class. Can you tell what type of recording machine you are using to lock all these rhythms? Thank you
You good man. but i don't like see Ring on Finger when in (general) people's play Congas or Bongos.when they call them self as percussions Educator. I play Percussion and Drum all i took of my Ring Free hand n fingers.😎😎😎
