Here's how I think buying followers can affect your algorithm. Instagram shows your content to a small percentage of your followers first, then if engagement is good, it then shows your content to a bigger percentage of your followers. The problem is that if Instagram targets the small percentage and it happens to be bots or dummy accounts, then you'd end up not delivering your content to the bigger percentage.
All the ig models that have THOUSANDS of followers do this. Look at their follower/like ratio

I have 500 followers on my old account. I made it in July 2009. I never bought any, just accumulated them over time. However, they never really engaged ever. Mostly random people. Most Influencer women use this so they can get sponsors. Most sponsors are only interested if your accounts 100k+ with active engagement and an active posting history (meaning at least once or more a day) anyways women who have like 95k really want that 100 so they go and pay to get that extra 5k.
Instagram goes after the wrong people there are people who don't buy following not bots /and always try to follow rules and guidelines/ and if not they may not know all the rules/ so people are afraid to lose their accounts and try to stay with in the guidelines
Yesterday I was accused 3 different times of sharing my password with someone. And when they accuse you of this they usually lock you out of your account for like a week. I didn’t gain a single follower but I did unfollow two celebrities and got accused of it and locked out of my account. Then I liked 1 single post and they accused me again and locked me out. Instagram sucks it’s hardly even usable they constantly accuse you of violating their stupid rules.

Is there any difference between the high quality and normal followers? Because as far as I can tell they are the same.
The high quality followers are just made in a way that are less likely to be deleted. If you want cheaper followers please use one of the low cost services. If you want real looking followers please use the “real” looking services. Keep in mind all of these followers are fake and bots, so if you don’t want that, you shouldn’t buy followers
