EPIPHANY is a series that invites impassioned thought leaders across all disciplines to reveal the innovative, the improbable, and the unexpected of their worlds.

He once designed a three wheeled convertible campervan that had rear wheel steering called the Dymaxion car. It was pretty famous for rolling over during its unveiling and killing the driver, Fuller said the cause of the accident was that another car had been following the Dymaxion closely. If you can imagine a forklift that is 6 meters long, can go 90mph and has a tent for a roof then you'll have a good idea of how deadly this thing was.
If the title was just "One of the Greatest Minds of the 20th Century" it would have made a huge difference.
Indeed
I guess so, but a video about Bucky really should explain why Bucky was the "greatest mind of the 20th century", I shouldn't have to google it myself
There is so much more to this guy than this lady is giving.
Great video, I've often wondered how my nearsightedness has affected the way that I look at the world.
Very informative seems like a great guy. I wish he could advise us on what to do now.
i understood that he influence engineering and the way it is taught, when it comes to buildings and other structures.
r. buckminster fuller was a futurist whose vision could not hope to be fully realized until at least the 21st century, hence the forward-projecting nickname
She sounds like me when I write my course work. 10% point, 90% placeholder words to stretch the shit out of the content.
I didnt even know this guy existed till right now.
Replace the term solid with rigid since there are no solids. For example, diamond is by far mostly empty space. Same with any structure you can think of.
thanks for your response.. so he was an architect of sorts? but tbh I still don't really see why he'd be considered even close to the "greatest mind of the 20th century" - it just feels like total hyperbole without much to back it up
I think it's pretty clear that this guy invented the triangle, bravo, Bucky.
She seems nice but, this video does nothing but praise this man, who we've learnt from this video thought outside the box and was ahead of his time. I assume he designed alot of famous buildings.
He found out that triangles are the strongest structures in the universe and he also designed the geodesic dome I believe
He definitely did not invent the triangle. But maybe he was the first to apply triangles to architecture and design.
when you make a title like "the greatest mind of the 20th century" you better have a damn good case for why he's the greatest. after watching this video, I don't even have a real idea of what this guy did.
Take a shot the number of times she says influences. :P
I thought Bucky from thenewboston was gonna be on here... :( Maybe next year, bucky.
didnt know dying in 1983 makes you a genius in the 21st century
Like wow man who burned the triangular pot roast
Why does she keep saying 21st Century when he died in 1983?
perhaps one of the greatest minds
The title is a tad bit presumptuous don't you thnkr?
I thought Kim Kardashian has the greatest mind in the whole galaxy. Think about it, they do not have anything but some nice looking body parts and they use it in the most effective and efficient way possible, and everybody admires them and watches them over and over again in TV. Guess what, I was wrong.
Ok... so what did this guy do again?
they say walter russel was a leonardo of our time too hmmmmm
I still dont understand what this guy did.
All i got out of this was that the lady has an obsession with some Bucky Dude.
based on these comments most these commenters could not find the butt's with both hands. mr. fuller was a amazing person
I knew about Buckminster Fuller from my studies on polyphasic sleep and yes, he indeed was a great man, but this video does not say anything! This video should just be removed or remade with more information on him.
The rudder is stern. Check 747.
Blocks of stone are not triangles.
oh haha I see, hard to read sarcasm sometimes on the internet =P but yeah I totally agree, einstein was clearly the mind of the century
you have the whole internet at the tips of your fingers use it :)
did he ever design anything successful?
The chick in the beginning said 21st century...
Norman Borlaug.
michio kaku / neil de grasse are good candidates
Tesla or possibly Joe Rogan......
Sure they are.
It's the 21st century
sorry but um there's very little here about Albert Einstein...the ah...greatest mind of the 20th century
She has huge hands..
haha yeah good point, the guy clearly did not invent the triangle
Nikola Tesla = greatest 20th century mind
Lol
She seems very unprepared for this interview.
A beautiful real Lady. I would like to date Her.
your funny
We get it, Bucky was a rico suave dude; but not by any chance the the greatest mind of the 20th century. I'm sorry weird looking lady, but you've been bamboozled...
This was terrible. She used many words to say absolutely nothing. Advice from kindergarten: show don't tell.
The lady seems nice, but the video was terribly put togethor. Sorry thnkrtv, thumbs down on this one.
Sorry but this was one of the least interesting THNKR videos I've seen. Bad title and too much blah blah blah. Thumbs down.
