i think the whole band is worried joey is gonna kick their ass so they never tell him that he's playing the song ridiculously fast
You gonna tell him? lol
@@theeverchosen1504 lmao
not THAT fast.
Plays it how its meant to be played
Lanegan rules for this song...
At the first when Joey starts drumming, he goes at a much faster tempo than what Nick was originally doing, and Nick just sort of looks at him like "wat"
Whats mad is that Nick was going faster than the original ALREADY haha
yeah Joey pisses me off. He always played way too fast live…
Some songs sound bad when rushed up, but this is just awesome
easily the greatest rock band of the modern times
This is the best version ever of this song... Joey put this on a another level. Wao
If badass were to be converted into a usable energy source, Mark Lanegan could power the entire world for the rest of its existence.
This song is a masterpiece, it's what music is meant to be. Josh and Lanegan, a perfect vocal combination, and the guitars just blow my mind.
Impresionante señor Homme.
I'm amazed at how Josh can move & dance around the way he does and still play flawlessly. Musicians like Josh just don't get enough credit for stuff like that.
Joey Castillo is a beast! I miss Mark Lanegan.
THAT FUCKING RIFF
...from an industrial town in the middle of England. How I wish I was from the desert =]
Mate, Led Zep came from these shores, Bonzo was from the Black Country. It's not about where you're from, but where you go. Don't be disparaged - Do what you want, where you want and make it work.
Dude we have better music than America
This song split every atom of my brain when i've been listening to it tripping on xtc. Fukken awesome!
9 years late lol but that must be class
probably the best live version ive heard of this song
this is by far one of my favorite QotSa songs. the calm he sings such a "heavy" song just makes it too awesome.
These guys are insane.
Awesome bass.
Insane drums.
Crazy guitar.
Kick-ass vocals.
FANTASTIC LINEUP! Wish I could see this incarnation again......it seems as though there has been about 4 bands within one, with all the lineup changes......great musicians, all of them, in the humble opinion of a classical piano player!
Of one of the most beautiful and creepy songs i've ever heard
Voice of homme/lanegan. Best combination ever!
Mark's voice is down right evil... and I love it
Joey SMASH!!!!!
Songs for the deaf live = fucking intense!! QOTSA rock!!!
Brutal....hard-core, ... o fook I just pressed repeat button!
i fucking LOVE the chorus of this song! it's just so intense in between the heavy, dark, and creepy parts of the song.
Yep, You do not see Dave Grohl and John Theodore doing these things. Joey Castillo is the definition of BEAST!. That's why I love him (and also for Era Vulgaris)
Ummm, Dave Grohl played the drums on the record, and John Theodore played in the Mars Volta, a professional band. Castillo rushed the fuck out of their songs live. He's good, but not as good as Theodore or Grohl.
Totally agree, Joey is a beast and this live version is tops.
+aldack Doing what things? Playing too fast? Off tempo? Out of control? If so, yes I must agree with you. Dave Grohl is the best drummer the world has seen in the past 25 or so years. It would be silly to rank Joey over Dave! Dave created this drum groove, so before you start dealing a hand, make sure you've got 52 cards...
+aldack Joey is a beast on drums but Dave kicks more
Joey Castillo is THE drummer for qotsa, end.
this song is.... GREAT
Joey is a badass. Extremely intense and undeniably talented.
The chorus in this song is fucking beautiful!!
absolutely, fantastic performer
One of the best albums of the last 15 years, the best song on the album! Along with The Blood is Love, the best QOTSA song. Thats my 2 cents...
WOW! Man Nick will be wishing these days were back after sitting in the penetentiary for awhile. God Bless you buddy, been there, done that.
Desert rock at its finest
This song is a pinnacle of something.
This video has 10 'dislikes'. WHO the hell would. LOL. Rock on, Qotsa.
Excellent live band, killer song!!!!
The "BEAST" song in the CD...
And one of the best of QOTSA ever....
I fucking love QOTSA
I love nick's part
1:54 - 2:01
WHAAAAAAA
Lanegan- such a powerful presence 🖤
The best version !!!
this is fucking badass... joey nailed dave's drumming.
Love this drummer. Beating the shit out of life
this is like the one of best live video on youtube/// fo sure
best on you tube so far for this song...so utterly bad ass awesome ......XX
Perfection.
"Lullabies" and "Era" have good songs... but i think that "Rated R" and "Songs..." are two amazing records. One is a psychedelic trip with a lot of friends, the other is a well tuned racing machine, blasting through the highway of modern music.
these guys opened for the red hot chili peppers at madison square garden
and blew them off the stage i was like fifty feet from the stage and when the tour came back again i saw josh on the street and told him that they were amazing with this line up
the drummer plays for his life!
couldnt agree more.
Dear God, when Lanegan kicks in... This man has Presence! Explosive show this is!
Holy fuck, Joey goes fucking insane when the guitars come in :|
That's fucking awesome :D
Awsomeness!
troy does amazing things with guitar in this song
OMFG!!!!!!!
SAVAGE
Good old Lanegan...my respects.
killer tune
Lanegan makes this shit so much more cooler
so powerful..
Fucking hell: Mark Lanegan's voice live!!!
Holy shit!!!
I like the plucky, acoustic-y feel to the bass👌
just, the best rock band. and one of the last
they are insane.
Easily my favorite QOTSA song.
this song has fucking balls
this is probably the best hardrocksomethingcategory-song ever made...
oh i didn't know!! good arrangements by the way...
Troy is a magician. Like What the Fuck.
Lanegan and Homme together are like Reese's Peanut butter cups. The combination is so good you don't know whats good for you...
I know! It drives me nuts. Still love them though
Fuck Troys sliding is so fucking sick.
Now, THIS is fucking music! :)
Haha watch Lenagans critical view toward Oliveri at 2:01 ...he didnt expect that little scream or he wasnt pleased with it.... so funny :D i love stage communication.
@777Liquid777 Yes. Agree.
Man, I think Joey just wants this show to be over with the tempos of the tunes from this gig!!!
that would be "halo" round my neck, and yes, wow!!!
holy shit
fucking awesome
Gene (the previous drummer) made the arrangments.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
their best fuckin song ever!
Joey is a monster! :D
I saw him play live with the Eagles of Death Metal about a week ago at T in the Park and he was awesome. Just as, if not more, lively than this.
this is fucking real rock!
holy shit this was a good day, i miss mark :(
kids, THAT is called drumming!
So I'm watching this performance all kickin ass and stuff.
And suddenly between 4:12 and 4:13 there's this cutie behind Joey, all smiling, watching Josh.
I wonder where she ended up after the set lol.
Among other QOTSA songs.
Joey! Fucking EPIC!
priceless
god i love the parts where Lanegan sings! it's so fucking evil
@Josephdorf03 I prefer Joey on this song, and Dave on Song for the Dead. This song is meant to be played hard and fast, and Joey provides that!
they're all dressed pretty light. It would probably have been like 39 degrees with 95% humidity, judging by the sweat and weather
thanks mate ^^ i will upload the whole show ... just look out for my other vids ... especially my own band N.M.E :-) ... i hope you like it ... greetz
joey is a monster in this vid
definitely not flawlessly. I hear him make mistakes all the time. hell of a lot better than I can do though, and after all, he inspired me to play guitar. even after playing and listening to the music Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Josh is still one of my all time favorites.
That drums...
real qotsa...
that's mark lanegan... nuff said
the cats pyjamas! soul.
joey is easily the scariest drummer ever... and hella badass too!
