does not seem to work anymore, even the option is no longer visible in sys pref.
At 2:57 it shows option to extend display. Can you demo that? Does it let you use a second iMac as a dumb monitor/2nd screen?

I haven't been able to find an answer for this: do you know if Universal Control will let you share a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse with multiple Macs? I've got a Keychron keyboard and MX Master mouse and would love to use it between my two MacBooks running Monterey.

How do you guys plan to use this? I have an M1 iMac, M1 Air and IPad Pro but am having a hard time seeing the use case for this.
Great question Derek, this feature comes in handy any time you might need a to check something on a 2nd home mac or even a work mac. You can grab a file or web url and quickly bring it to your main Mac. The most important part of this is when it starts working with the iPad, as you will be able to do the same thing in iPad OS.
What do you mean you can't see a use for this? I think the main benefit is that you don't need multiple keyboards and mice to use 2 different computer.
@@Gadgets20 I guess I just don’t find myself using two computers at once. My iMac has a second monitor and if I want a third screen I’ll just sidecar to my iPad. If I need a fourth screen, which I never do, I guess I could universal control to my MacBook Air.
A question does universal control work on VMware with this method?

I think tht getting it to work without monitor arrangement setup is why they refused to release it. For me, as long as moving stuff across devices work, i don't mind arranging monitors.
Doesn't work for me. Got supported devices & OSX and did all the steps correctly. Do I maybe have to run the newest Beta?

I am running Monterey 12.2.1 (Not Beta) on a 2011 Mac Mini and a 2009 iMac and neither of them have the option to ad a monitor, is this due to older hardware please?
Hello, UC is only available on 2012 Macs and newer (Needs Bluetooth 4) & 12.3 or newer os.

Not yet, It is possible that this work in the future for 2012-2014 Macs with OCLP.

Ali, did you install the file on both your 2018 and m1? If not it will not work. Put that file in on both then restart them and then see if you can see the new advanced button. ALSO make sure you are logged into your appleID on both Macs.
