Honestly, my favourite Zelda game in the series and this feels like a whole new track! it's mixing that nostalgic feel in and it fits so well with the games aesthetic too, mixing the old and new perfectly ☺ great job as always!

Man, what a fantastic production! I feel like this is such an underrated theme that very rarely gets selected in the VGM remix community, but I'm glad you were one of the few to take it on! With this piece's inherently Mediterranean feel, synthwave seems like an unusual genre for it, but man, does it work so well! It really captures that hot and hazy kind of sound style you'd expect from the blistering heat of a desert!
Twilight Princess will always be my favorite game in the series, and I really appreciate that you cover tracks from that title so frequently. Your love for this game is conveyed so clearly through the music, and the attention to detail and overall polish that each remix has (and not to discount any of your other remixes at all, because they're S-tier synthwave!)
Getting into the instrumentation, I really love that rolling bassline here, and it does wonders for the track, with a dark and heavy kind of feel that adds suspense and mystery throughout. The synth string lead for the melody is wonderful, and I like how spacious and atmospheric it sounds, with that gentle attack and long release. I think a major strength of this remix, in addition, is those rhythmic plucks used throughout - they do a great job of filling in those spaces where the main melody isn't present. I'm just trying to imagine what this would sound like without them, and I don't think it'd be remotely the same, as they're just so integral to the arrangement!
As usual, the drums are super tight. I especially enjoy the breaks where the drums cut out briefly and then re-emerge with a cool lead-in fill (e.g., 1:05, 3:33). As always, your fills at the end of phrases and rhythmic mix-ups are a delight to listen to, and the constant change in pattern and percussive instrumentation keeps things dynamic. That dense and long-lasting snare sample here has such a satisfying and punchy sound, and it really grounds the whole thing. Love the rhythms in the kick, too, with those frequent pattern-breakers.
And props for the cool visuals! While the Gerudo Desert and Arbiter's Grounds aren't my favorite area and temple (those would be the Faron Woods and Temple of Time, respectively), they really are superb, and I can see why they're beloved by TP fans. Seeing the various footage from this segment of the game really feels nostalgic, and I like that you've also mixed in gameplay from other areas, too. The old-school VHS footage brings me back, and the color filter is a nice touch, as well. Fantastic work overall, as always, Chillboy! 🌟
