BUT BUT BUT SIR. 20 years 100 % INDEGENOUS . No sir ... I think we cannot let out imagination run so wild.
Tejas was BECUASE of YOU. End of story.
The Tejas fighter has not been put to test in a real war like aerial fight yet. You can't keep saying its best in the world while there are other potent fighters out there. The best Indian can do is keep Innovating and come up with upgrades version after version.
Oh is it. Do you know the kill count of the F22? 1 balloon and a UFO. So how dare you call it the most advanced fighter of its generation?
"best in the world"....I am proud of tejas but it's not best in the world.
So engine was the issue for crash.. hope HAL/IAF public the documnlent for COI this culture of giving brief to ANI n remain silent for ever is big disappointment
The achievements here are all great but they are all let down due to unavailability of a high performance engine the entire Tejas program can be sabotaged by USA at will

I share the apprehension (fear) with you. But now "Kaveri" is making strides, so as to be fitted on Tejas. Even an under-powered (one of 90 kN) will do a great job on Tejas. And that will be followed up by continuous work & concurrent engineering.

Product with highest reliability is such a BS line. We need to be honest with ourselves man. Tejas mk1a haven't even entered the service yet.(Please don't mention the few we have in Sulur) Let the IAF fly it for hundred thousand hour than we can use such terms.

OK it is flying without any incident to date, fulfilling all that is required of it. Isn't it? Why don't you give credit for that? Why do you choose to belittle the work of thousands of experts (engineers) in their fields, to put in, one product like this.
Whatever it is, in a combat situation LCA Tejas will come on top, in any engagement.
