    Great video ! People thinks that GA4 is an update of the Universal Analytics, but it's actually a full new way of measuring website performance.
    Getting the chance to export relevant data to be used and compared in the future is fundamental. I assume 95% of business owners can do this with a spreadsheet, there are no reasons for most of them to use Big Query.
    Nevertheless, the days of Google with turn of UA, a huge amount of people will be stressed. Thank you very much for this very well explained video!

    Thanks for putting this together. I appreciate the detailed example with page views, but is there a more robust way to grab "all" data off go UA to archive? I am not exactly sure what data to grab, so I would prefer to grab whatever is there. Are there other standards reports to download or ways to grab all the data? Thanks again!

    Awesome tutorial! Quick question that I'm struggling with. Do you have to create new Google Sheet and run the GA Analytics extension report for each date range you pull? For example, I have a lot of data so I did the 1st example of Jan-June and then wanted to run it again for July-December. I was hoping to do all these in the same Google Sheet by just doing "Create New Report." When I do, it creates a new column in the Report Configuration for the 2nd date range. I thought I could delete the original column, then click Run Report (but now I get "Run Reports) and when it tries to run it gives me the following error "ScriptError: This action would increase the number of cells in the workbook above the limit of 10000000 cells." and doesn't update any of the data in a new tab?

    Hi Benjamin, I have a question, for example a client is using GA for 5 years. Can we import all these years of data? how about data retention setting which is usually 26 months (I know that it doesnt affect standard reports but when we import 5 years of data, would this be possible since data retention date is set as 26 months)

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sinan, I have properties with data back to around 2007, so you should be fine. Data retention is for unaggregated and user identifiable data. The biggest issue you’ll face is sampling, so you may need to break your import into certain blocks of data ranges depending on the metrics and dimensions you are requesting.
