- I bought a Wrecked & Totaled Porsche Cayman GT4 CHEAP from Copart, rebuilt it & reunited it with the old owner at Road America! We get his BRUTALLY honest review on our (slightly less that professional) rebuild after he rips it around the track and then... it's off to Tail of the Dragon 😈
We give the GT4 the absolute thrashing it deserves and then reveal EXACTLY how much money (SPOILER ALERT: It was CHEAP!) we have wrapped up in this entire Salvage Auction Rebuild... but not before giant rodent costs us another $177, fortunately, I decided to turn it into a giveaway!

Needless to say, this Totaled 718 GT4 is far and away the most fulfilling Copart Rebuild to date and sharing it with the old owner made it all that much better! But... with the Cayman on a bit of a hiatus, it's time to get back on the Cheap 997 Turbo build!

Great video Lee! It got me thinking, though a great car on the track, the video shares with the community what a wonderful experience it is to find some clean backroads and enjoy them. A driver with the passion to get up early and be chased by the sunrise, hit the track to find where the limits of grip exist, could find 10s of thousands of miles over years in this car.
Unfortunately my time in the car was cut short. Thank you for bringing me and the GT4 together again.
Hope the GT4 finds a great owner to enjoy all it offers.

The GT4 is the perfect car for exactly what I did on the dragon, as I said in the video, I can’t imagine a better car for it…

Porsche has always been my "dream car". Was great watching the rebuild and the Road America trip. Also Tail of the Dragon drive.
Great Video! You should bring the R8 and the GT4 to the Dragon for Wookies in the Woods. VW enthusiasts go every April and a bunch come in Porsche and other european cars. We all stay in Fontana Village and have a couple of other RUclipsrs frequent as well.
I don’t know if will have these cars by then, but my 911 turbo will surely be done 🤔

Awesome build. Fortunately i live 2 hours from the Dragon and get to do it on 4 and 2 wheels. Weekends are nuts, so i prefer weekdays.

To be honest the Z platform loves the Dragon and handles really well on it. Also the GTR is another great platform to take on and enjoy the Dragon.

@@LeeC It has been a minute, but I used to attend an event on the Dragon called ZdayZ every May and lets just say there is and was a lot to enjoy with the Z and GTR platforms on the Dragon as well as other mountain roads in the area along 129. I have a couple of videos on my you tube from trips to the Dragon, but there are others as well that have documented the Dragon with Z's and GTR's as well.

I literally just had my first Buc-ees experience on Sunday driving from Nashville to Knoxville(college visits for daughter). The fam talked me into going out of the way just a little bit… Got there in time for the fresh brisket being pulled out of the and the grand announcement of it being chopped. What a place😂😂🤙🤙

We have a buc-ees outside mobile AL in I10 heading towards Pensacola and it's amazing.

- No I don't want any souvenirs from the beaver shop.
- I live in Oregon and there are a lot of beavers here.
- We also have the famous University of Oregon football team called the "Beavers" . They have won a lots of championships.
- In the summer it gets very hot here. I wonder if any of those beaver would like to clip off some of the fur is over rated. Trim it down like the surface of a putting green. It sure would look much prettier.
This whole tale of getting the Cayman, tearing it apart and putting back together, wrapping it, meeting and letting the previous owner drive it at Road America (twice) was just beyond the beyond. AND then you did the Dragon Tail. This is like the most EPIC car video EVER. Real and perfect.
Please don't try to do one better, just keep doing what you do and I will be great.

Love the build back of the 911 GT4, you did it right 👍🏻 I wonder how much it will auction for??? If I bought it I’d work a deal to keep the graphics on it for two years at an agreed reduced price or something. I certainly can’t afford it but it’s what I’d do 👍🏻

Should be an even faster track next year with the new resurfacing. Sounds like they are going to do some sort of Halloween event, giving folks an opportunity to do a first drive on the new surface. Fall colors are popping!

Good day. I've been watching your channel for a long time, and i'm surprised that you don't keep more body parts. Quarter panels, and other body parts. I have a 2009 Solstice Coupe, turbo 2.0L, and i was considering putting a LS3 V8 in it. I know Mallett did the the conversion, but i think Mallett does not exist anymore.
Check out AdamLZ, he picked up an ls3 from us a while back and stuck it in his moms solstice
