    Hi! can you explain how you make "mental notes" can not find how to make this "add note"

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Год назад +1

      Hi yes it has been replaced by the new Notion buttons. Just add a new button and use the "inset blocks" option and add in a bullet list. Then just give your button a name and an icon and now if you click the button it'll add a new bullet list. And if you want the outline around it just create a callout box set to the default color, give it a name and make it bold, underlined, and change the color and then just drag and drop the button inside.

    also, does the free notion have access to what you have shown is this video? just curious

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Год назад

      Yes the only reason you'd upgrade from Notion's free plan is if you want to use Notion automations or add team members, otherwise you can do everything on the free plan. The main difference between the free templates and paid dashboards is that the templates is just a single system solving one problem, whereas the dashboard is multiple systems combined into one large system solving multiple problems. Dashboard = multiple templates, template = 1 system.

Can I remove the blocks I don't need without compromising the overall structure of the template? I`m only going to use it for my personal life, personal projects and studies, so I don't need features like CRM, and I probably won't use the habit tracker. I would however like to sync the to do-list with Todoist and the calendar with Gcal via Notion automations. Thanks!

    The progress bar code is not working correctly. The value of the property "percentage" is not being set properly, so the progress bar is not functioning as expected. How to fix that? Function slice expects 2 arguments, but only 1 was provided. [0,19] Argument of type text does not satisfy function slice. [6,18] End here is the error

    ...is this good for a basic info with a few photos website and news letter?

      Yes absoloutely. You can just click share in the top right and publish your Notion page and use that link just like any other website. You can also build an actual website or blog using Notion, have a video about that here: ruclips.net/video/1objM8BPj38/видео.html

    This is a great video!! I felt right at home the moment I heard your Afrikaans accent😂
    Your video is really helpful and everything went smoothly when I did it myself except for the creative progress bar, everytime I tried to put in the code it said this: "Argument of type text does not satisfy function slice. [6,18] Percentage is not defined. [23,33] Argument of type text does not satisfy function slice. [48,60]"
    I copy and pasted the code so I never changed anything yet I still keep getting this. Do you know how I could fix it?

    Brother Chris! Where do we find the cursor? I know it's out of context but that looks sick.

    When I go rollup, it shows no relations. What should I do?

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  3 месяца назад

      A roll up will only work if you have a relation on that database, so make sure you have the relation property showing on both and that database is connected to another one
