I don't mind the solid white beam sabers on these kits. They're easy to paint, and I think the clear plastic parts just look like parts for a toy instead of a model kit. I guess looking like a toy is less of an issue for SD kits, but in general I always try to rough up portions of my clear parts with sand paper, then add a wash and some highlights.
Think my favourite part of the CS line is it finally giving us kits of G Generation designs like Sisquiede and Tornado, the latter I'm so happy about finally getting released. Hoping to see Aquarius next
I quite like the mazinger, getter and gaogaigar kits they did in the cross silhouette line. Looking forward to more sdcs kits outside of the gundam series
I hope so. Like, they already showed the prototype model of SDCS Efreet from 2018. But until I write this comment there is still no information whatsoever. And they even planned for some model for the future like another Crossbone units and the Blue Destiny units too.
SDCS is my favourite SD kits line. That line has fixed many things other SD lines were bad with. Less hollow parts, more articulation with CS Frame, and came with some chance for customization (like the Waverider+Zaku 1 parts set and Silhouette Booster parts set). They just need to releasing more interesting MS. But unfortunately in country where I live, many builders prefer HG as SDCS + CS frame expansion combined prices is almost same or little bit pricier than normal sized HG. Even more pricey if you including the Silhouette Booster.
CS always feel so loose in the joints to me. I just built the Phoenix the other day and it could not hold up its arms whatsoever. I like old SDs honestly, but you do have to give them more TLC
@@xnflg3074 In my case, usually CS frame is quite loose over time on the arms ball joint and "sitting teddy bear" leg joint. And the rest is still quite solid. Yes, old SD kits needs TLC to brings out its potential. But IMO too much TLC needed to those kits than SDCS 😅
@@itsmepamz2477 I feel it's a bit of a trade-off... you have to put more detailing and painting work in, but the builds are simpler (and, hey, don't have to worry about the old "argh, now I have to build ANOTHER LEG..." when the thing doesn't even have legs), and the end result is cuter imo
@@xnflg3074 Detailing and painting is a thing. But the most annoying thing usually found in SD kits is... filling hollow parts. I mostly dislike hollow parts found in old SD kits. It's too much. I understand if Bandai wants to keep SD kits price affordable as possible like the SDEX and SD G Generation, but I still found hollow part even in the latest SDBB release (Barb's and Barb's Lupus). I wish Bandai will take other interesting suit like O Gundam or Stargazer from other SD line and release it as SDCS. Ah, and the other original SDG suits too.
The rifle actually came out pretty clean for a single piece, aside from the mold line. They positioned the hollow portions so that they blend well. Someone unfamiliar with Zeta wouldn't even realize it wasn't part of the original design
If I'm correct, the next SDCS kit will be Banshee with Norn parts. I would really like to see something from 00, or Hyaku-Shiki, or Justice, or G-Self, or Epyon. Hell, I know that SDCS Jesta will probably never happen, but that would be awesome :D
Nice, love me some SDCS, I think it is bandai's best SD line. The next announced release is the Unicorn Banshee, also hoping for a UFO Grendizer release down the line.
I think I still prefer my bb senshi one. It's smaller and it transforms; although the sdcs one has more articulation going for, I don't regret it at all.
grunt SDCS kits would be awesome. it just sucks that GM (head) variant comes as a CS frame "freebie." imagine the GM head with a clear visor part. if bandai instead switched it up, a GM kit in regular release and a RX 78 head that you can get from the separate CS frame, army building GM would be possible. they'd sell more. and more monoeye love too. kampfer and aquatic type zeon kits like acguy etc. monoaquatic types look better in SD form.
i didn´t like SD gunpla in the time when the proportions were like head - chest - pelvis - feet, then they release bb senshis with legs like the hi nu gundam, wing gundam ew, thats is when SD start to appeal to me, i would like to leave them with the gundam converge proportions, i saw some moddelers on instagram doing that and they look amazing, of course the closest you can buy in that proportions is the new MGSD freedom and now the announced MGSD barbatos, now my favorite SD is the Xi gundam.
@@simpleanswer8954 Let's be honest, who want that SD frame with almost ZERO posability? That's one reason why bandai include both frame in Tornado and up coming Banshee.
@@razrafz Maybe they want to keeping price low as possible? I have the clear color version of this kit. It's pretty awesome! Great kit. The CS frame was also included in that version which was nice.
I'm glad it got to you and actually see something we helped you get to review!! So cool
Thank you so much!

SDCS is my favorite SD line, especially the Ground Gundam and Zaku with the CS Frame and booster!
I got this with Silhouette Booster 2 to get the SD waverider partforming piece, and I gotta say it's the cutest waverider I have seen lol.
Really wish they'd make more for this line
Tornado says hello. Also Build Metaverse has a SDCS kit in it's lineup.
@@MrMechasexual The F9ノ1改, isn't it?
I hope someday in the future, Bandai will releasing its base model too, the F91 Gundam.

@@itsmepamz2477 Not getting that SDCS Efreet is a fucking sin from Bandai. We were robbed of such greatness~
@@itsmepamz2477 I'd take more G Gen originals over the Efreet tbh. If they showed a Zanspine and never spoke of it again I'd be way more upset.
meanwhile the Build Divers RX-Zeromaru is a SDCS kit that can transform into a 1/144 scale-styled kit using the SDCS frame which is kinda cool.
My favorite is the SD Blaze Zaku line from the Seed Destiny series. Great detail and articulation.
Surprisingly I really liked the SDCS Ground Gundam

i love SDCS line. my fav is still the Barbatos Lupus Rex
that was a great one!
Could this be the start of sdcs restocks?!?!?!?! Please say yes i need to finish the line
Personally I would love a Freedom reissue. Mostly because I want to build an SD Meteor unit for it
Yes, especially Wing Zero EW and Barbatos Lupus Rex.
Unfortunately I’m not aware of any big SDCS reprints on the way from Bandai but I hope so!
This was my first Gunpla, and it was cute but just a little simpler than the RG Nu
The SDCS Nightingale is great

Well, now you basically need the extra option pack to make the Waverider.
I've been enjoying some sd kits lately. Something different
I'm still hoping for an sdcs Sazabi. But an mgsd would be dope too.

MG perfect zeong unboxing & review
Not exactly that, but you’ll be at least partly pleased with the next mook review video! 😅
I feel like this line needs more grunt suits.
This makes me want a MGSD Zeta lol
I was literally just looking at mine thinking "zack won't be doing this one tho"

I’d like to see a Patlabor Ingram in this line.
