My whole life living in Edmonton I have never heard it be compared to NYC.
HAHA
The river valleys like 30 times larger than New York Central Park
Same
I'm sure the crime rates and open air drug use are comparable
Maybe the homelessness crises with the drugs yeah 😂
Welcome to Canada ❤
Thank you!
*sees 2 tall buildings in a kilometer radius "OMFG IT LOOKS JUST LIKE NYC"
Oh wow. I love the positive attitude. I am amazed that you like it here especially considering that you are from Paris. Edmonton's a lovely small city.
I live there and I love the buildings! And yes I liked my own comment❤
From edmonton we welcome have a great time!!
Thank you very much!
The Wanye gretskey statue is iconic
This brings me back to my first few weeks in Edmonton after I first moved here a few years ago. Just walking around to see the city and having all the same thoughts you did. Welcome to the city! Check out the river valley! It's the largest uninterrupted green space of any major north american city. It's criminally underrated.
Thank you! I will definetly check it out
I hope you can stay longer in edmonton its a very loving and joyful place! I really love edmonton because i live there ! Welcome!!❤
Love it here!
Great video👍 The statue is Wayne Gretzky…the greatest ice hockey player of all time 🤠

As an Edmontonian, I am glad that you have enjoyed your first day here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There are many parks that have nice views to look at around Edmonton. I suggest you go to the Muttart Conservatory in the East side of the city. Welcome to Canada!

I suggest visiting West Edmonton Mall its an absolutely beautiful place to visit here in Edmonton!
No it aint
On the days there isn't a shooting
there isn't really anything special about wem anymore
Try not to get lost there, and use the maps, they help ALOT
This video remains me of my childhood, I was born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary when I was 6 in Alberta. 😊
I’d happily tell you a few parks to visit, don’t miss out on Elk Island BTW
Have a great day
Thank you. You too.
Welcome to Edmonton. I like the fact it's a big city with a small town feeling. City Centre Mall was way cooler 7-8 years ago
Thank you!
🇨🇦🇵🇰..EDMONTON…BEAUTIFUL CITY.👏👏👏
Welcome to Edmonton :)
Lots to see and the city is famous for looking like you are out in nowhere in some of the parks. Truly green, lush and beautiful not just around the North Saskatchewan River.
Thank you!
That cool statue is of The Great One, Wayne Gretzky, NHL hockey player, during the heydays of the Edmonton Oilers. I'm glad you enjoyed my home city.
Wow! Thank you!

Welcome to Edmonton, and I'm sorry this has happened to you 😂

I've lived in Edmonton 12 yrs.
It's OK, but winter lasts 7 months of the year.
Noooo we have four glorious DISTINCT seasons..you’re lumping parts of spring and fall in with winter. Born and raised here and still live here. It was 15C+ and no snow until the week of Xmas this year
@@joanndeck4315 the phrase "cold season" is preferred over "winter". The cold season does last that long in Alberta with many temperature differences.
@@valeria-militiamessalina5672 like I said….I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN EDMONTON….AND IM STILL THERE!!! 😂😂 NEVER, in my life have I, or any one I know, called it “cold season”….that’s a crock of sh!t too….where did you move from cause you’re obviously not a native from there…..lol
@@valeria-militiamessalina5672 I’m 50 years old….that’s 50 years in EDMONTON….i don’t need a lesson from ANYONE about this place…I could give you tours with my eyes closed 😂😂….how was the winter THIS year “Valeria” “Salina” ? We didn’t have ANY snow until Christmas Day and it’s been +15 for most of December and part of January….we also had -50 as well for a week.
If you were REALLY from here…..you’d know the joke about the weather….so what is the joke? Tell me….you seem to be the expert. Lol.
It’s winter…..then we have spring…..then summer….and finally fall….then WINTER comes again….no one speaks like that here at all 😂😂 EVER!!!
@@valeria-militiamessalina5672 LMFAO ….”cold season” means the FLU season!!!! Which happens in fall and spring LMFAO
NOOOOOO we LOVE and NAME ALL FOUR OF OUR SEASONS. WE EVEN CELEBRATE THEM….”the first day of fall” “the first day of winter” “the first day of spring”, ect…..which line up with the solstices and equinoxes !!!
Sadly, someone obviously miseducated or misinformed you…
And that statue is Wayne Gretzky
Wow!
LOL!!! You should get out more.
I try to!
I WAS KIND STUNNED AT FIRST WITH YOUR OPENING COMMENT OF WELCOME TO MY CHANEL MARK IN CANADA, AS MY NAME IS MARC AND I AM FROM EDMONTON !

I sure will!
Welcome to my fav city ! The city is definitely a wonder, but is very much a region not much of a downtown city . Explore all the cracks and crevices, if you can get out, explore some of the counties too (not out too far). There's ample within proximity to anywhere! Cheers!
Thank you!
Darling... keep the trek, you missed out on Millcreek Ravine to discover a shovel in order to dig out antiques left behind.
Welcome to Alberta 🇨🇦
Thanks!
Thanks !
Just learn to say “Flames suck” people will think you were born here.😅
haha, will sure do!
Welcome to our city of Edmonton!

Little tip for yeah, outside on the same road as the library at the where the LRT track is now? That was shot for i BELIEVE one of the zombie movies. And you seen that video of the window cleaning thing swaying back and forth? Same road :)

From a fellow Edmonton, welcome to oil country. Hope you have a great time there

Well welcome to Edmonton! You might like it
Go to Whyte Ave , there’s lots of cool shops, restaurants & bars. Blues On Whyte is the best, live music starts at 10P.M.
I will definetly check it out!
@@MarkInCanada it’s at The Commercial Hotel & is one of ( if not the) oldest bar’s in the city at over 100 years. It has been renovated beautifully & is a world renowned blues bar, & many greats have performed there. It is a very safe bar & hotel, & usually has a diverse mix of people. There’s a VLT room, pool tables & live music. Highly recommend! 😊
Welcome to my home
Thank you!
I am so glad you found the big mall... wait that was downtown? Ah... you need to "walk" to West Edmonton Mall to see "The Mall"
Welcome bro. I may have seen you I'm practically 5 minutes driving distance from Edmonton

No offense but it doesn't look like NYC at all.

I’ve been in Edmonton since I can remember. I’ve loved it- except for the traffic near the hospital lol
I know the traffic is so bad
Never heard anyone comment something this good about Edmonton
God, you must be delirious! Looks like New York? Edmonton has like two high rises and lots of tents where homeless lives. Yesterday I was passing by the police headquarters building, so these tents right on the other side of it on the parking lot. They don’t call it Deadmonton for nothing. 😂
LMFAO
canada day,edmonton 2023 was fun!
i was sick so couldnt attend events:(
but i got to see the fireworks!
the west edmonton mall is fun,i reccomend visiting galaxy land and a shop called "sugar daddies"

@@MarkInCanada Tips for new people in Edmonton:
1. There isn't much to do, but you can go out for walks in the river valley trails. Refreshing with a beautiful view.
2. There are many fruit bushes and fruit trees EVERYWHERE. You should be able to find edible tree maps online. You can find saskatoon berries and whatnot.
3. There are many events in the summertime, the one I like to go to the most is Multicultural Day. Many different foods and cultures to experience.
4. DON'T live downtown. The rent is pretty high compared to the suburb areas. Plus, the environment is cleaner and more friendly.
Congrats moving to Edmonton if you want to visit me I live in Sherwood Park but have a nice stay in Edmonton!❤
Thanks!
WELCOME!
Thanks!
Wayne gretsky is not just a statue
As an edmontonian best thing to do is leave before you get jumped by a naked crackhead 💀
I hope u love Edmonton, it's a beautiful city and I love living here
Love it!
Bud looked at the some of the most underwhelming places(except for the Wayne Gretzky statue) like explore west ed or bike your way up to whyte
And maybe stay away from the north Saskatchewan river cause the amount of disgusting shit in there
Don’t forget the largest indoor roller coaster, or at least was the largest indoor roller coaster, RIP mind bender
The first clip inculded the newest bridge
Now i know where you are Park is Called Kingsmen
