Playing a game with no object permanence is wild. Things only exist when you're looking at them, and even then it's not guaranteed they will stay the same. Could be a great premise for a horror game or one of those "dream simulators".

I've played minecraft while tripping. I got freaked out that I was aware I was watching another world on a computer screen because usually I get immersed into the minecraft world when I'm sober and forget that the screen is even there. Like, holy shet, when I click the mouse, the block gets mined. And holy shet, when I shorten the fibers in my finger muscles, the mouse gets clicked 🤯
the trippiest moments in ai minecraft are when it changes what direction you’re facing. like you walk forward into a wooden plank wall so it takes up your view, and then you look up and you were suddenly looking at a floor the whole time.
One time i turned the whole world into oak planks and for some reson the game started moving forward for me until it turned into a single, unmoving image of a bunch of messed up oak planks
Yea and onetime I saw a house and a horse in my dream, and the horse merged with the house and became a elephant and some random guy was like “oh yeah! merge with me!” and when I woke up I just thought him saying merge with me was weird
If you just look up at the clouds and keep pressing spacebar you will slowly make your way up to them which is kind of a weird trick for getting to high altitude biomes. I also had the exact same problem with not being able to get to the nether because you always end up eventually with honeycomb.
If you look forward while standing on top of honeycomb and keep the honeycomb textures smushed together, it'll trick the engine into thinking it's lava again after a moment. Staring straight at lava without moving, on the other hand, quickly turns it into honeycomb. It's an interesting way to get lava out of hay bales or other yellows on demand, but since lava rarely gets you to the nether on its own, its more effective to just look for red. Water is also weird. If you enter it too slowly, it might turn into ice. Falling into it from high up can get you deep under the water, however. Being underwater also creates a lot of shadows and dark shades, which can turn into a nighttime overworld or even the end if you get lucky.
The main bottleneck here is the context size and resolution. And they already use very expensive hardware to run it at this state. A better model won't change anything radically in my opinion.
@@MiraihiI feel like their training data is also pretty scuffed like why would lava ALWAY try to turn to honeycomb? Like did they just choose honeycomb showcase videos for half of their data? Lava is everywhere in Minecraft yet honeycomb is a fairly new block and doesn’t ever appear naturally in gameplay. Also, every time you go to the nether, it always tries to force a blue sky when you look up. Seems pretty fishy as if it was manually programmed to want you to only be in the overworld.
@@Jwellsuhhuh I have a possible explanation. Lava is a more detailed block than honeycomb, and at the given resolution the engine imagines something less complex and more static. But you're right, it's obvious that the data is scuffed heavily towards overworld, which is natural.
There’s a version that’s 16:9 and you can play for a unlimited amount of time but you need like a really good computer for 20fps, using a 4090 gets you 5 to 6 fps I think
