The traverse is the better choice. The acadia seems to fall short of all expectations. Both the interior and exterior just looks and make sense on the traverse. The Acadia just seems like a hit and miss the mark feature.
Just got a Traverse and my brother got an Acadia, I’m sorry but I loved the Traverse way too much for so many reasons: space, cool compartment, camera on rear view mirror, and so much more!
You got good taste! I got the traverse 3LT. just about everything on the traverse looks and made far more sense in terms of features and cargo space. Try finding that in other midsize crossover suv and you'll find more headaches as nothing makes any sense with a hit and miss the mark. This is my baby for the long hauled. It just looks beautiful in the most logical standpoint in my eye. Sporty and family comfy is how I describe the 2018 chevrolet Traverse cargo space is icing on the cake. Maintenence on this traverse model is like singing Hallelujah in my ears.
Yes, the 2nd gen traverse just looks much more modern, very sporty, and sleek, which is how I would describe the 2nd gen traverse. I absolutely love my 3LT awd traverse. Super easy to work on. The interior layout is spot on very nicely placed. It just looks good, feels good, and is overall very comfortable to drive. I just went on a trip through 7 different states, and it is absolutely flawless.
Well this isn't a video on the 2020 Acadia but I'll respect your opinion on it. Nothing wrong with either of the GMC or the Chevy Traverse. Unless you need the extra seat that the Acadia doesn't offer now then the Traverse would have an upper hand. Thanks for the comment though.
Hey Dave nice comparison of the two, I like them both but the Acadia was made smaller on this redesign to make them appeal to different buyers the Traverse is larger size in the back and is closer to the older Acadia size !
It’s 2021and I’m in the market for a 2018 model so this review was really helpful! Looks like the Traverse would work best for families. As a single person, the Acadia might work better for me. But I love that they both have the same features for the most part. Thanks so much for doing this! 🤗
Ehhh....not really! The interior just looks kind of bland and outdated. I love the interior layout better on the traverse. It just looks much more modern and premium.
The 3lt awd traverse would've been the best to do a comparison. The 2nd gen traverse has the best overall design and cargo space. It just look sporty and very sexy. Whereas for the Acadia, it just look very funky and a awkward body design that just didn't look right
Greetings from Canada! Very informative and helpful videos Dave. I’d be really interested to see a comparison between the 2020 Traverse RedLine edition and the top of the line GMC Acadia.
Thanks, we are just a Chevy Dealership so I would have to do a preowned Acadia. The Acadia Denali would be closer in comparison to the High Country Traverse. Thanks for the comment though.
@@jakecondemn3209 they didn't really change much from 18-19. They just changed the vehicle packages in 19. They basically kept the same footprint and options.
Thank you for the video it was really helpful.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you for the video it was really helpful , but you did not talk about the control arm and suspenssion kit and shock absorbers ...etc .

They are both great vehicles, but I agree the Traverse has some added bonuses. Thanks for the comment.

The 2020 acadia is a beast. It's the smoothest driving SUV on the market imo.

yes you are correct, thanks for the comment.
The newer traverse is attually bigger than the tahoes...
Sorry, traverse is longer and wider
The 2nd gen traverse is the proper midsize suv of its class. It's longer and wider.
Love the Traverse..👍

I have a 2012 terrain and it’s just too small. Tahoe / Yukon is too big. Looking at these 2018’s, up next. Soon
Thanks for showing the difference and not being biased. Great video.
Thanks I appreciate it, thanks for the comment as well.
The gorgeous dash on the Acadia 👌
yes it is a great vehicle, thanks for the comment

i like that the seat folds up father on the passenger side
Thanks, I appreciate the comment

I'm from Edinburg TX thank you for explaining the difference!!!!
no problem, I will be doing more side by side comparison videos when the 2020's all get here. Thanks for the comment.
That’s great. Thanks from Carol in San Jose CA
Does the chevy have DVD?
Newer models do not offer DVD players. Some have hook up to add one but most are now set up for Bluetooth or USB.
@@ChevyDave which model do have DVD and thanks for getting back to me
@Anthony Richard DVD's are becoming outdated everything is going to streaming or Bluetooth. I think 2017 Traverse was the last to offer a DVD player.
@@ChevyDave thank you so much
I like the Acadia more
Could you do a comparison between the 2019 style or are they the same as the 2018?
I have a comparison video of a 2018 Traverse and a 2019 Traverse on my channel.
Here is a link to that video ruclips.net/video/shqGb9HTsXs/видео.html
@@ChevyDave hi Dave. Sorry I meant to write if you could do a side by side comparison between the 2019 Acadia vs Traverse. Thank you.

@@ChevyDave thank you. That was what I was looking for. Since you know the difference. How smaller is the Acadia vs the Traverse?
Please stop putting those "follow me", "Subscribe".... It's really annoying.
Other than that, good video
The Traverse is 11 inches longer
Gmc.
Nothing wrong with the GMC Acadia or the Chevrolet Traverse. Just featuring some differences between the vehicle. Thanks for your comment though
Traverse es de mayor tamaño... y 9 velocidades.
Sorry please post your comment in English and I will be happy to reply
@@ChevyDave Hello, Traverse is bigger and 9 speeds gearbox.
@@MrOdamian yes I stated the Traverse is bigger in my video. Thanks for the comment though.
They're aren't the same size.
Do you mean they aren't the same size? I said they weren't the same size.
