      Will make no difference it'll be paid somehow.
      Like free postage, it's not free you just don't know how much you're paying now.

    Our bills are already 50%+ higher than most comparative countries. What they should be talking about is cutting our bills by at least half

    Any green levy payments should be voluntary , so the woke virtuous people can feel good about themselves.

      As long as everyone else pays for the pollution and CO2 they cause by burning natural gas.

    Maybe if the government spent more time going after all those who have offshore accounts and shell company accounts avoiding tax, and pump it all back into the Uk, we will definitely be a richer country xxxxx

    Remove standing charges too theres no reason for it they are not serviced or checked by the energy companies what are we paying it for. That would automatically reduce peoples bills by atleast £30 per month.

    • @Robert-cu9bm
      @Robert-cu9bm 3 дня назад

      No it wouldn't as the energy rate will increase.

    • @mysterymaverick1982
      @mysterymaverick1982 3 дня назад

      @Robert-cu9bm why would the energy rate increase do you mean the companies would increase it? It doesn't automatically increase on its own. There's no need for it they are just adding money on to the bill any way they can and it's corrupt at a time when people can't even pay their usage let alone a completely fabricated charge.

    That’s great pensioners will now have under £9000 to survive on after they have paid these bills . Stop all our tax payers money supporting other countries I am glad you don’t like it can I please send you my heating bill as you are happy that it’s affordable for us poor people

  • @femazik
    @femazik 3 дня назад

    there is no need to cut anything - the government should send accountants to those companies and see why they are increasing their incomes, and how they use it: if they ramping up their income just to get more rich - take that money back and re-distribute it back

  • @elizabethmair2948
    @elizabethmair2948 3 дня назад

    All these taxes cost money to collect just grows public sector. We have a reasonably fair way to raise money at no extra cost it's income tax.

  • @PaulChapman1bz
    @PaulChapman1bz 3 дня назад

    The people you pay your energy bills to are credit agents, middle men who take their cut. They are not suppliers of gas or electricity. Deep dive required.

  • @martinburn

    Take back control, heating should be a non profitable industry, because now we know privatising it has turned an essential for life into a luxury, so wrong.

    Yes, every country has weather Nina, and if you look around the world you can always find some that's bad, the same as there always has and always will be.
    You cant have cheap energy unless its a fossil fuel or nuclear, renewables are not reliable or cheap, when you include ALL costs and not just once they are up an running like Nina does.

    We should be drilling our own gas and oil. Also mining for coal and not buying from abroad. Stop spending and sending money abroad. Look after our own country first and put people back into work.

    • @Richard482
