I have the Twistpower x100 and agree with this video. It is great if you have a semi-western forehand. Easy access to power and can definitely whip the racket if you have longer strokes. It is also stable enough to redirect hard shots

Hope you can check out the X97 Tour, seems like a very intriguing racquet and I might demo it myself but would be cool to hear what others think about it

I own a twistpower 97X and I really like it. Bought it from tennisonly. Really good racquet with control and spin. Like a softer RF97A

Given your preference for control, are you going to check out the Twistpower 97?

I added a leather basicgrip and some leadtape at 9 and 3. Love it. Pretty good feel, Power and it works with my one handed backhand. Unfortunetly it isnt a 98 . But it works very well.

Can you please do a head 2 head comparison with APD original, like you've talked about Prestige and Gravity? Would be very interesting.

Thanks Jonas, an excellent reminder to give a frame a decent go before making a definitive assessment. 300g Tour version available here in Australia through one online retailer(not Tennis Only).

Does the twistpower have tge same dense string pattern in the center as tge adp or is it wider? For me this and the stiffness of a raquet are main factors, how a racquet plays.

Prince Japan has their own racket line-ups, which look very nice and worthwhile to review. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find the review videos of those in English. In general, I don't understand Prince's policy of global distribution of their rackets.

To answer your question, I just spoke to my friend who runs a local tennis shop in my town. Prince essentially got destroyed in the market after the original O3 era (remember the Orange O3 Tour frames that every other clay court specialist on tour used back in the Coria/Davydenko days) then Rafa and other players came along that playing with stiffer, more powerful spin racquets made the game a lot easier, so their feel oriented frames just kind of lost their appeal, then Yonex stepped up and offers a lot of frames that are also powerful and spin friendly, while offering some good feel on many frames and grabbed many Prince customers…so Prince was eventually purchased by Tennis Warehouse, which is why you can’t buy Prince locally any more. They are TW exclusives for now on.

which one is more aero dynamic? Out of these 3 racquets? Babolat pure aero 2019, Prince twistpower both100 and 97, Ripstick 300g. Thanks for your hard work!

I tried this one it was too light, I couldn't get my hands on the 300g or 310g unstrung versions. It felt hollow to me but with a demo I think I got the crap strings which makes a different.

Hi great review. I demo'ed this racket for a day however didn't have much time with it. Do you feel that if I have an eastern grip that it is something that would not work at all? I don't have a ton of topspin on my hits. I noted that compared to the Babolat pure aero the feel was slightly more muted? The Aero seemed touch more forgiving if I hit the ball funny. Wasn't sure what your thoughts were on this. As you said I would love to be able to demo that racket more to get a better feel as I am just kind of getting back into the game. (coming from a prince approach lol)

I Just found and played with new DR100 , its better for my one hand backhand then my 2021 vcore98...does anyone else play with 100inch that has one hand backhand?

HI Jonas! Why are you excluding "that kind of swinger" from potential users of this frame? I'm sure they could also use this frame just fine, not just modern swingers! 😉

The Twistpower x97 tour is my new racquet. I switched from the Yonex Vcore Pro 97HD. I made the mistake of purchasing the new 2021 Vcore Pro 97D version, which is much beefier frame, and I just didn’t gel with it in matches, so I demoed the twistpower and LOVED it.

    • @ARZ1987
      @ARZ1987 2 года назад

@@lukemeno Im in the US.. Prince is definitely onto something with these frames. The twist gives you the Babolat Pure Aero kind of spin, that paired with the Box beam in the hoop gives this racquet some nice feel. Just imagine an APD and a classic prince diablo/TT warrior feel. Fantastic!! Im sure when the Twistpower 100 tour comes out, they will have a racquet in this line for everyone. I was skeptical at first because their recent frames are very gimmicky but not the case!

Prince makes great racquets, but they need greater product rationale. Their brand is suffering from it.

Firstly, the frame is ugly af. Secondly, I firmly believe manufacturers come up with all this bs because they run out of ideas. :D
