Another interesting thing nobody mentioned with the idea of "moving from hopelessness to hope." The first track is named "dark" and the last is named "dawn." It relates to the phrase "it's always darkest before the dawn" meaning that life is always darkest, most painful, most hopeless before it gets better. Without darkness, light does not shine. You will not see nor appreciate the light until you've experienced darkness.
You guys need to do the new song "The Dark of You " It's a lot darker than Ashes of Eden and this , and I'm really curious to see your insight into this one Pastor! Have a good one, take care guys !
If you guys nvr knew this album is one long story from the very first song to the last tells a story
i think most of BB's songs is about Ben himself and his illness and struggles....but music is really great..
This has always been my favorite song with Breaking Benjamin! I like how they can make rock music sound so emotional but still rock’n’roll ! 👏🏼
I've commented before on other videos before. After hearing this song for the first I had to go home because I couldn't stop crying. Even now watching this video and hearing this song makes me tear up a little.
I had lost my wife about a year before I first heard this song. I loved her very deeply and her death left me so very sad and empty.
I was do deep in grief over her death that I couldn't live. Nothing mattered to me. I couldn't figure out how to get out of it. Something about this song though just really hit me hard. I finally realized that I was so tired of feeling that way. I was do tired of being sad. I was so tired of crying. I was so tired of it all. I wanted to heal. I wanted to see the beauty of life again. This grief had such a strong hold over me that I couldn't figure out how to get through it. This song helped me figure out how much I wanted to be happy again. This started my journy to live again. This song made me realize I was tired of feeling this way and wanted it gone from my life.
It took a few more years to get back to living. It's been five years now since I lost my wife. I still miss her very much. But I'm no longer trapped in grief. I've learned to live again. I'm happy again. I've tried dating. I see the beauty of the world again. I've even try to help others going through what I went through.
If you're in the same boat I was in don't let the grief consume you. You will live again. Just have faith.
Thank you Aaron. I am sorry for your loss.
I love what you both are doing here. God is found any where and everywhere. I like when you pause and discuss though. Breaking Benjamin- ashes of eden, helped me trust in God and hold on. Thank you for these. Rock music has a strong hope factor I feel
To be honest I love being Christian I do see both sides of music skilet was the band that taught me i it's amazing what music came do even when I'm down I barely talk about my problems I pray a lot but he is my lord on Savior Jesus Christ I allways think my family is looking down at me I miss them a lot
Paul learned "MY grace is sufficient"... no matter what you are or will go through, the atoning work of Jesus IS SUFFICIENT in the end for those who believe and accept it. That is why the FAITH that is GIVEN can never be truly shaken. Belief and acceptance is a GIFT of God our Father to those who have been GIVEN salvation.
Do angles fall by breaking Benjamin
no, they fall by themselves **trollface**
Should react to angels fall by breaking Benjamin if you would so kindly.
Thank you for posting this video... I told you about this song... It hits you deep inside your soul.... This is the Truth... We failed as humans... Take care and have a great day everyone
I love the original but mike Barnes from red totally slays it. King Barnes at his best.🤴🏻🙌🏻
Now react to "Dark of you"
I was at the gym and this song came on, then I saw Red does a cover of this song too, which led me here! Thank you for making this video😃
I think Give Me A Sign by Breaking Benjamin would be a great song to hear you guys react to. But anyway, great channel, I like hearing your interpretations on rock and metal from a religious standpoint. Definitely subscribing. Looking forward to watching more of your vids.
I was raised Christian, and I adapted this feeling the due to the curse of Adam and Eve, we are just re iterations of a species just trying to prove our selves in Gods's eyes. Who is to say we have our own souls? We are here to prove the potential of humanity to our Lord and savior. Nothing more.
That’s not what the Bible says. You were born to reveal the glory of God, not your own glory.
Until the end by Breaking Benjamin
Yes! My favorite B.B. song!
Been listening for a moment now. The best i could provide for hearers is "Nutshell" , this song without a dout will bring many to convo. iconics are lost... but not to be forgotten for what can be contributed. Travities are not forgotten..n shouldnt be relived. Prayed.
Yes. Please do “dark of you”. Great song I am also curious to see.
Love the pastor comments on these videos
I disagree, he says follow the light that leads me home, he is talking about heaven. He says tear the whole world down, which the world is the devils domain. Then at the end he says bury the sunlight. You will see the sun reference in many rock songs. As we know, sun worship is wrong and represents the devil. Here he is saying bury the sunlight as a way to reference drown the devil or bury the devil. I think you need to do some more research on this type of stuff.
Sean Burtt this is the same way I viewed this song. I see it as him saying that the world is a failure and he is ready to be home.
I feel the exact same way about this song. Thank you.
The song isn’t about religion. It’s about finding hope in your darkest hour and learning from failure.
Ben Burnley has said this on his social media in way back in 2015 when the song released.
@Craig Anderson Bands often don't reveal the true meaning of songs when they are Christian bands for fear of being canceled in today's music industry. Almost every Breaking Benjamin song has religious references. Go listen
@@beerbellysports1194 dude, I’ve been listening to Breaking Benjamin since 2004 and I am without a doubt one of their biggest fans. I know they have some religious references in their music, but that doesn’t mean that they’re a Christian band. They aren’t. Lamb of God’s name is a religious reference and they’re very much not religious. Plus they use religious references a lot in their music.
Trust me, I know what I’m talking about. I mean no disrespect either, I’m purely talking from a place of passion and fandom. :)
My honest opinion is there is no one song that is any better than another.. The fact is that we as people should thank the lord everyday that we are able to be alive and embrace the very honest often haunting music that Breaking Benjamin bring us. Breaking Benjamin is in a league with in my opinion only 2 other bands that come around once in a lifetime and for myself im totally thankful that im able to totally and utterly lose myself in the addictive riffs, pulse pounding drums and emotion provoking vocals of Breaking Benjamin. Best song, worse song does it really matter? all that matters is enjoying the music of Breaking Benjamin and understanding our purpose...
It means you come into this world alone you leave this world alone "detach yourself to nothing " its a spiritual song lol
Do "God Hates Us" by Avenged Sevenfold, the message isn't what you'd think
Giovanni Quezada they actually did that one. You’ll like his reaction.
Please do the song "Fine again by seether... it would mean a lot to me. Not many know that song but it speaks volumes about my struggle
as humans we didnt take care of earth
Do “The Light” by Disturbed please.
I love this song now
"You're not my God" by Keith Urban I think would be a good one for him to listen to.
Do "Asteroid" by The Devil Wears Prada. Not an overtly Christian band, but basically a Christian band in their beliefs and message. Metal song, dual vocalists, both scream, some clean singing, lyrics are still obvious when captioned.
React to The Heart From Your Hate by Trivium i'd like to see the analysis of the song:)
Red cold river, tourniquet, or torn in two by breaking benjamin. Do some of these songs plz
I thought a church pastor was gonna react to the demonic songs of BB :D
Would love to hear the pastor's take on Type o Negative - These Three Things
You guys should do give me a sign by Breaking Benjamin a good one to see a reaction.
Reacts to "Hell" by slaughter to Prevail please
You guys should do Pittsburgh by the Amity Affliction
You need to do the dark of you and save yourself from their album Ember!
Please react to the song opiate by tool. I like to know what you think I'm only asking because I was raised Catholic and lost my religion because of things that happened as a child
:(
React to three days grace new album
If yall want bite of life react to coming down by five finger death punch or daddy by korn.
React to "I Dreamed I Died" by DevilDriver. Just watched 3 of your videos and I've enjoyed them... I don't actually think you'll like the devildriver song though lol.
5:41 review Hoepeless hue
And if you like "Asteroid", go ahead and analyze "Moongod" next. Basically asks why God is not more present in our lives, with all the suffering and pain in this world.
You should do Breaking Benjamin's "The Dark of You" from the new album Ember. It's a great song with really deep and metaphorical lyrics that I think you might enjoy. I'll even make it easy for you, here's a really good lyric video for it ruclips.net/video/1wz_Avq3z0A/видео.html.
you know what, seems he takes songs and bring out the bible , when itsnothing to do with religion
