Not really. Have you been to one of their recent live head lining shows? They sold out a 10,000 seat venue in Phoenix a couple years ago. I'd say they're very popular & successful.
I agree but part of that reason is Ben being fearful of flying, hence their album title Phobia. They didn’t tour overseas until recently. I guess he opted for a cruise ship instead of flying with the rest of the band..
@@t.b.m.b.Aussie here, and yes they are very popular down here. Sucks that I’ll probably never get to see them live unless I win the Lottery and fly to the US. My first tattoo I ever got was the symbol of the band on my left shoulder. and you can’t really compare BB to foo fighters and the offspring. Foo fighters and the offspring are played regularly on radio broadcasts in Australia mainly on Triple M.
I've always thought this was more of a conversation between Ben and his higher power personally. I think he's struggled with his religious views in the past but I could be wrong or thinking of someone else
it's more losing a loved one, or being apart from a loved one with the bit about God. We often would say it's unfair for losing a loved one, or being separated and often blame or question God. Ben is actually very religious and you can hear it in many of his songs.
Breaking Benjamin is just one of the best bands to ever exist, they have never made a bad song..every song has its own meaning and its truly beutiful what they can do.
It Is, Benjamin Burnley was a recovering alcoholic recently out of rehab(2009-2014 if I'm not mistaken) this is his basically call out prayer to be reaccepted in the eyes of God, even with his faults he's still human
Why not? It's a song about crying out when you feel like you're not enough. Exactly what you cry out to? You make the call, dear listener. Just don't stay silent and don't let go.
Breaking Benjamin will always be one of my all time favorite bands across all genres of music. Such meaningful material that usually always speaks to someone out there. They deserve more play.
Breaking Benjamin is such a great band that makes beautiful music. One perspective you could look at with this song is that he is talking to God. The man throughout the song is asking God if he is too far gone or if God is with him through everything. It kind of gives off a sense of realization, the way he says he has been living a lie and wants change. He asks God if He will be with Him even near death or if he will be rewarded for staying close to God. Especially when at the end he proclaims “Heaven above me, take my hand. Shine until there’s nothing left but you.” In the midst of his struggle, he cries “Stay with me don’t let me go, until there’s nothing left at all/until the Ashes of Eden fall.” Stay with me until the world/my life ends. Food for thought!
There is not one bad Breaking Benjamin song in existance. Not one. Their whole discography is awesome. "Phobia" is probably going to be my favorite album for the rest of my life.
The love of my life took his life 5 years ago as of now. He dedicated this song to me before he left and sang it to me and at the time I never completely knew why . Until now. Every day is a reminder.
This is my favorite Album from them..... ......I wasn't sold on them initially when they had released their debut release..... .....but, this one is their Magnus Opus. They came a long way.
Did you catch the bit in the video where when they burned into the atmosphere their ashes falling triggered life on the planet that became humans and then they were basically reincarnated at the end? So 'Ashes of Eden' = Adam and Eve in a different context.
I think she also missed the fact that the both of them are the human incarnations of those aliens, the wrist grab being the same when the female went out into space to retrieve him. Being a part of dna encoded memory, and that she finally caught him. That last part being my interpretation of course
Breaking Benjamin is one of those bands that I loved back in the day but haven’t really heard too much from them in recent years. I had never heard this song and, WOW, it is a beautiful song! Great reaction to it, as well! You like music??? I like music, too! Lol
Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands, any of their songs would be a great reaction. Keep up the good work. I also think you would love "Dear Agony".
To me personally, this track is relatable lyrically because I've lost someone close to me. So many of those lyrics hit pretty hard. But the emotion in his voice paired with said lyrics is what made this track so amazing. Dark of You should definitely be next!
When I hear this song, it makes me think of "memories" I have for loved ones that I have lost or I have moved on from and I don't want them to end but over time, the memory of them starts to fade and you hang on to the last distant memory you have left.
There’s not a video for it. But you should most definitely react to Unknown Soldier. Another song that has a nice, quick little breakdown you’d appreciate. Keep up the working please!
You know when something is really interesting, you call it a popcorn movie/show/whatever it may be...this is a "sobbing while eating a pint of ice cream" song 😂!
Highly recommend seeing them live. They sound like their recordings. Plus they're nice guys. I've worked two of their shows around the release of this album, and they were very polite and friendly.
An understated song of theirs is Foget It. He wrote it with Billy Corrigan of Smashing Pumpkins after they were talking about the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I’m missing the “we” part from the lyrics that you mentioned but oh well, it’s fine. There’s a single rhetorical “we” in the first line, but the rest of the song is definitely conversational between the singer and another person.
I get the meaning that he’s referencing the rapture or death in general. Missing the final warning or missing the day of salvation because he was living the lie that he thought was the truth. The world wants to make you think getting to heaven is one way, but the word of God says a different way. One is broad and leads to damnation while the other is narrow and leads to truth. Was he believing the world thinking he was in the right just to find out he went down the wrong path but it’s too late to turn back? That’s something worth considering!
I really liked this song I remember hearing it the first time when I heard it on the music channel I used to listen to a lot of music on the local cable channel when I heard the song Angel fall that was a really good song I don't know if you have ever heard of that song best it's really cool just like ashes of Eden was a another good song when they wrote that music like you said the song hands a lot of meaning exercise it has to do with relationships also when we lose someone and also maybe a little bit of religious reference because he talks a lot the ashes of Eden and then you look at the video it looks like it has to do with a beginning of a new world and also a new life for everybody to be happy I know that all the people ain't that much into religious but you know when you kind of look at it it looks like how things are sometimes in the religious culture because don't get me wrong I'm religious that's why and the thing is I know a lot about that I don't want you to hate me because of that because I'm religious I just know that like the Bible speaks of a lot of things and also speaks of a new Paradise a new world a new life for many good people out there to find true love for everybody because that's how things should be in this world is true love but it's hard sometimes but me I think breaking Benjamin that's one of the coolest that's out there an our generation today next to many other bands so I appreciate for the time that you got to hear from my comment I think you did an amazing job what does video thank you good night😊

Breaking Benjamin is so unfairly underrated. Wonderful songs, lyrics, riffs, vocals. "Dear Agony" could be next. It's heartbreaking.

@@adventuredoods4699 I meant worldwide. Breaking Benjamin doesn't have the popularity of Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Slipknot for example, worldwide.

Second this. Dear Agony is like the original ashes of eden song
For me, with every BB album, its the softer/slower songs that have the largest impact
Breaking Benjamin has literally been my go-to band for so many reasons. Nostalgic purposes as well. Takes me back to simplilar times!
same
This could be taken in a religious context, death of a loved one context, general humanity context... all heartbreaking.
I've always thought this was more of a conversation between Ben and his higher power personally. I think he's struggled with his religious views in the past but I could be wrong or thinking of someone else
@@skoddskar3D It fits with my statement. So many meaning and contexts can be taken from the song.
Yes so true, the best songs can have many interpretations

Re-listening to the song with a mindset on the Human struggle with whatever God/universal power you believe in sheds a different light on the lyrics
It always does.
I've always been under the impression this is Ben singing to God. Especially with the choice of "Eden" and singing directly to Heaven above him.
Breaking Benjamin is just one of the best bands to ever exist, they have never made a bad song..every song has its own meaning and its truly beutiful what they can do.
the most touching BB ballad to me is Without You, should check it out if you didn't so far
Honestly, it seems like this song is a prayer to God almost…🤓

Man, whenever it happens (hopefully 70 years from now), but whenever i die, I want this to be played at my funeral. What an absolutely beautiful song🖤
Breaking Benjamin the goat. The vocalist has a great voice I wish I had one like that.

Dear agony or far away!!!!
To me, this is Ben calling out to the god he wants to believe in, but doesn't see or hear. It's like hes calling out to a god hes not sure he believes in.
Breaking Benjamin is about struggling faith with God.
I recommended song...
EdanE(cry out) band from Indonesia
Song makes me sad sauce
Okay, you want more Breaking Benjamin but not a Breaking Benjamin song? I got ya. Starset - Waiting on the Sky to Change.
I think the lyrics of "Ashes Of Eden" is referring to a god.. he question the god if is real or not..?
He ask to god to save him...
I was starting to question if this was a Christian song because this sounds a lot like what a Christian go through with feeling like I can’t hear God
I will not bow - please..
It has nothing to do with depression
Your so beautiful
react to bring me the horizon
Or talking to God....Remember he is terminal because of brain disease. Needing God and not seeing or hearing him, when needed. 😎 Food for thought....
women dont understand emo men !
you completely missed the whole video looking away from it talking over it ffs watch it again and this time actually watch it
