This song is about people that don’t live the conservative Christian view of morality but are still good people and wondering when they die if the heaven and hell thing is real, will they be sent to hell for just following the doctrine of free will that was a joke from the garden of Eden because Eve just wanted knowledge and what’s wrong with that which is why I found Lucifer not evil but the champion of humankind and free thought and viewed the Abrahamic God as a vindictive asshole, I mean if going by scriptures we would still be dumb cavemen if they didn’t eat the fruit of knowledge which is stupid but for the people that believe in organized religion it still doesn’t make sense to me especially in the 21st century
If Eve had not eaten the fruit at all there would be no cavemen, no one would have even existed. They didn’t know how to populate the earth
