Im so thankful you are talking about Witold Pilecki. Its so sad that his history is not known widely - even in Poland. He got what is worst from 2 most savage plagues - german nazism and russian bolshevism. Rest in piece Witold
Thank you, this is such a fascinating story. I'm really filled with both admiration and sadness for this brave man. These stories can't be told enough. The red baron is another great story told by Sabaton, you should react to that song/history as well.
Excellent! Thank you for the information and celebrating this hero! I thought of St. Maximilian Kolbe too. Witold needs to be remembered! I agree with you about selective remembering/ celebrating underground resistance too. The Polish resistance fought bravely too. 👍👍. Great point.
Fragment raportu rtm. Witolda Pileckiego mówi i św. Maksymilianie Kolbe. An excerpt from the report of rtm. Witold Pilecki says and St. Maximilian Kolbe. "Once there was an incident that when a young prisoner was chosen - an old priest stepped forward from the ranks and asked the camp commandant to choose him and exempt that young one from punishment. The moment was powerful - the block was petrified by the impression. The commandant agreed. The priest-hero went to his death, and that prisoner returned to the ranks."
There's a whole nother side to this man and what he did actually had the pleasure of sitting down with 2 survivors of auschwitz who had alot to say about this man
To też Żydzi, taka prawda.

Witold Pilecki said that Auschwitz was nothing compared to Soviet torture. He experienced both of these things.
Poland was never out of the fight. Poles fought on all fronts but Japan.
Yeah, the story of Japan rejecting Polish war declaration as not genuine is amazing!
19:53 Unit 731* not 371 - I would not advise reading about it if you are faint hearted though
