  • Nature dealt a Strong Storm with Wind and Hail. Lots of garden damage on pole beans, cucumbers, peas, kale and tomatoes.

…Good to see your garden is making such a quick recovery from the storm damage. Very good you know to keep your corn staked for this very reason. Miss Squeak would have given a pounce if the rabbits would have come within striking distance. You could add your radish tops into your dried green powder. 😁 🐈‍⬛🐾 🐇 🪴

So nice to see your garden wasn't destroyed and it's recovering. Plants are much stronger than folks think.
We got hit by 2 tornadoes on the 22nd. There was quarter sized hail. I lost a few plants but was able to save a lot with some care and staking.😄
    Hey, cute Miss Squeak!🐈‍⬛💕

That storm was crazy! I'm in North Carolina as well and a few areas had tornado warnings and luckily they didn't touch land.. sadly, the winds knocked down so many trees and destroyed so many homes.. I'm glad you and Squeak made it through safely and I'm also glad that you'll still have a harvest for this year.. stay safe and thanks for always sharing 🫶🏾🌻

Tomatoes are tuff I’ve literally cut mine down to stumps in my hydroponic system and they just keep coming back
Thank goodness your damage was fairly minimal
I noticed though you take the collard leaves and I assumed some kale leaves with lots of bug bites and you still harvest! I guess they can only eat so much and you get the rest lol
Hang in there it sounds like it’s gonna be a rough summer all over

Aww so sorry 😢 storms can really do so much harm to gardens. I remember a few years back we got hit with a storm that had hail (it was towards the end of the season though) my garden looked like yours but I had tomatoes all over my plants that were just starting to ripen. I cleaned it up, picked off the tomatoes that got damaged by the hail and thought I was good. But no matter what, the remaining of that year my tomatoes were rotten 😢 I was so sad. Hopefully you won’t see the same fate ❤
