Mariners fan here. Us passing on resigning Tom Murphy (one of our few consistent bats when healthy and a helpful clubhouse presence) was suspect, especially since we passed on him to make room for Mitch Garver (similar player but more expensive, no presence, never hit well at our ballpark, and bad so far) and Seby Zavala (hasn't hit outside of one game at Coors and a disaster behind the plate). I don't think it was ever directly said, but it's widely suspected that Murphy didn't resign with Seattle because he still wanted to catch and we only really saw him as a DH option at this point in his career. Even if he wouldn't have hit for us either, he was much more at home here, couldn't have been worse behind the plate than Zavala, and would have given us the roster space & budget to maybe keep Geno (who seems to be hitting the same as last year, plus we sorely miss his consistency & defense at 3B). Bart was given more than enough opportunities. He sucked
@@jasonwilliams4159he's currently batting .262 after earning the starting job in Pittsburgh and has thrown out more base stealers and has more power than Bailey.
Bart wouldve been a good backup better than spending so much on Murphy who cant even hit now. Bart can hit lefties well and DH or even 1st base...GIANTS CANNOT HIT LEFTIES RIGHT NOW! FIRE ZAIDI AND MELVIN!
This might be the worst trade in baseball history
nah....doesnt top gaylord perry for suddenly sam mcdowell or the trade of bobby bonds for bobby mercer
Babe Ruth from the Red Sox to the Yankees for cash.
3 weeks you made a video about it and yall freaking out....i knew there was a reason i stopped watching this cry baby channel. So glad this came across my feed today to remind me of why i dont watch cry babies 😂
Foolish take, Joey had a start like this in ‘22 and we know how that ended up. I hope he keeps it up with his new team but he wasn’t going to do it with us I’ve been saying for the past year he needs a change of scenery to thrive. Don’t be that knee jerk reaction hind sight 20/20 type a ma’fucka mayne 🤌🏽
