@@EVEROUS Can't wait! One question... How can I get better at Future Garage? Is there any source or anything else that unlocked it for you? I really like your style!
@@xDreamWorldxSorry for the late reply, I haven’t really followed any tutorials since I started with ambient/garage music. But soundwise, I started out trying to replicate the artists I heavily derive my music from. Eg, Burial, Sibewest & Bucky. This eventually led me to developing my signature sound. And I’ve stuck with it, mostly for emotional reasons. Since that is the prerequisite that I base all my music off of. I sample a LOT, and that is probably the main stem of getting the sound I want nowadays. But for tuts that are actually relevant. Sharpend, Julien Earle and Venus Theory has some great tutorials and theory videos to get you started. The only tip I can give that always worked for me. Build a story, not for others, but for yourself. 99% of my music has some lore to them. Thinking about traumatic events and sadness stemming from my personal life is the main inspiration for all of it. Sorry about the long text, hope it gives you some perspective and again, I’m sorry for not being more of help 🖤
@@EVEROUS Ah no worries at all for being late! You're busy creating bangers bro haha. I don't mind the long message I actually like that you explained thoroughly. I have checked out Sharpened, VT and also Julian. They are great sources to get started. Also the artists that you have mentioned are also very good and nice to get inspiration from! I think the main thing I struggle with is the sampling aspect of it. I have trouble creating these big lush moody atmospheres in this style of music which is usually the foundation and the "sound bed" where almost everything else mounts on. I think I have to work on that part of it. I also agree with what you said about creating it for myself and have some sort of identity behind what I make. It's really effective in creating something that has a lasting impact on the listener. You are amazing!
@@xDreamWorldxI thought about this one for a while, tip! Everything is sampleable! Found a great pad from another song or movie? Sample it Then alter it! These big atmospheres, at least from my own, are essentially long ping pong delays and spacey reverb. Some DAWs have a granualizer, great for randomizing the sound you’re making/sampling. Don’t forget the EQ🤍
Transcendent 🌌❤️
