@Ashutosh Pandey It was outlawed by Supreme court that Its not a 'crime' to not stand up for the national anthem when it is played in the movie theaters. There was no order about if it should be played or not.

There's no law passed by this government or any other government. This was all done by Supreme Court because of some PIL's that were filed.

@@Tanjirosan7 there is no problem with national anthem. But a respect must be given to it. Playing it before every film that comes with A to Z grades is disrespect and forcing the people to stand while they came to watch a movie and entertain themselves does not make any sense.

@@Tanjirosan7 what the heck are you pointing out from this?... just get some good thoughts in that brain and understand the difference between patriotism and showing off. I never mind to stand for national anthem anywhere and I did stand for natinal anthem to date. But all I say is playing or singing it in the right place is the right move. Besides, playing national anthem before a movie and standing is not spending time for nation. Doing something good for the people and not making others suffer with our decisions are the best kind of doing something for a perfect present and future nation.

8:04 so 3, 4 years back government thought that the youth should be thinking more about the nation so they made it that before the movies in cinema hall National Hall will be played. Now people say if they r going for an R rated adult movie they don't want to think about nationalism before an adult movie and even before other genres too. But I say if I stand for 52 seconds (our Nation Anthem is of 52 seconds) before the movie starts it shows that as I am a privileged who is going to enjoy in an AC hall with popcorns I still remember the hard work, the sacrifices of my ancestors aaand that how rich and beautiful my motherland is. It is just of 52 seconds.

Let's get very clear, there is an option for playing national anthem in cinema hall. It's not compulsory. But if it Plays then you have to stand. ‘The Fundamental Duties’ Article 51A(a) states that it is the duty of every citizen of India to abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the national flag and the national anthem.A notice titled “Orders Relating to the National Anthem of India” by the Ministry of Home Affairs in part V(1) it states that whenever the national anthem is sung the audience must stand in attention. Be careful
