Ollie is super cute as always! You should see if you could record a cover with him singing haha. Question: What Seymour Duncan pickups do you recommend for an Epiphone Les Paul Custom?
I really don’t know much about the whole line and what suits a Les Paul. I’d find it hard not to check out Slash’s set or some pearly gates
yeah that would work actually, ollie's voice sounds just like dave mustaine's singing
Sounding badass man 🔥🔥🔥
@LambChopper678 Check out the old Scholz R&D Rockman guitar preamps, they're the missing element you're looking for ! Either the model 100 Sustainor or Distortion Generator, they are mentionned in the album's liner notes and you can see them in Mustaine's rig in live photos circa 86-88. Great video as always, cheers ! :)
I found an interesting video last night where they all spoke about the making of the 5.1 release. Dave talked about the rockmans and how they got the tones. Pretty cool though there’s none around anymore. They were rare back then.
@@LambChopper678 They're getting harder to find, people are holding onto them now... they've gone up in value quite a bit. I used to be able to find them pretty cheap even 5 years ago (never paid more than 100$ for one of them). I find the story behind their design fascinating, Tom Scholz was definitely a role model for me both as a musician and electronics engineer... Anyways, if you get to plug into one you'll recognize the sound instantly, they sound like nothing else (for better or worse loll)
Nice video man! The tone is just spot on. Im also looking forward to get me a mxr eq pedal to shape/boost the frontend. But im not sure whether i should get the 10 or 6 band. Do you think the 10 band is worth the extra cash?
Keep thrashing mate!!
I like the 6 band. It’s got the same usable range and sounds great. I find the 10 band outer sliders are useless
Nailed it. Close on the fractal need the thrash factors have a custom 5 not working out haha.
So funny. I literally just bought and put in a set of the trash factor pickups in my guitar two days ago. I'm loving them.
